8-To actually listen to some music that came out ater Money For Nothin'" by "Dire Straits"...(Love my "Lantzman"... Jewish for "Paisan"...Marc Knopfler.)

7-To Know ONE! obscure Beatle fact GMan doesn't know.

6-To know ONE obscure Hollies song Steve doesn't know.

5-To be more than a pale facsimile of GMan cool when it comes to charming the Ladies...(As I've previously stated...Bayonne....after all...IS known as the "Paris Of The West"...Who can compete with that?)

4-To find the definitive answer to what the heck Eric shouts at the beginning of "GATW".

Hey Daisy...Not so crazy...You already have a following of 1400 registers members here who are familiar with you and your work and who knows how many additional guest visitors.-Ira.

Thanks Ira. You're so sweet. I highly doubt it'll ever come true, not because I don't have the talent, the energy, the drive, or persistence, it just feels like an illusion because I don't have the time, or know where to begin. I'd have to find somebody who can write music to match my vocals, or write my own, and as you know, I'm in school and I must focus on that. I might have been a musician a lot sooner had my father helped out. He was in the business all his life. Guess he didn't want his children in it. Yeah well he wasted his child's dream. That would be like ignoring your child's talent when they showed signs of being a gold medal gymnast. Quite frustrating, to say the least. Has caused me great pain in my older years. (you don't know how many times I've sat here listening to songs on youtube in tears thinking that should have been me.) Okay I've said my gripe for the day. Thanks for listening.

Daisy if you want it bad enough then pull your finger out and do it - I make time to practice - even though I'm not going to go out and play gigs ... if you want something bad enough just do it - don't blame others for what didn't happen - that is in the past - look to the future.

My resolution is to try to always remember what is really important in my life, and to not "sweat the small stuff"! Because at the end of the day, those things don't matter. What matters is how I handled those small things. I hope in 2009 I can look back and say most of the time I did the best that I can do...and realize that it's never to late to try and be a better person.

Elle...I tell people all the time that perhaps the one nice thing about gettin' old is that I finally don't sweat ALL the small stuff!

You slip sometimes...but then ya snap back and say all in all life's pretty good!

You really do gain some perspective.

Happy New Year Elle!-Ira.

MJ, you're so very right, of course. I must look to the future and pull myself together and just do it. I've never been so challenged as you have challenged me. I guess that's what I like most about this site -- the challenges, physical and mental. I think we'd all get quite bored if we just stood here talking about the weather and what we wore to work.

I left a message to see about recording time. If nothing else you guys just might have another video on your hands to laugh at. Alright I've spilled my guts about resolutions. Anybody else wanna take a stab at spilling their guts?

Oh and by the way, I think I know what MJ wants for New Years. A tall, handsome guy with a mustache. :p

I try to understand what small stuff is. I try to not sweat truly unimportant stuff. As my priest Fr. Fred once said...the O ring on the Space Shuttle was small, someone should have sweated it.

So, I sweat the small important stuff that could be a big hassle and keep it from getting that way. I don't sweat small unimportant stuff. I do like to be as carefree as I can...

We recently found out that my spinal damage is worse than previously diagnosed. My goal is to make our home more accomodating of our changing needs. At first this depressed me but now that the shock has worn off I'm kind of excited and looking at it as a challenge to attain a new kind of lifestyle! This can become fun if we let it be!

Clean isn't even the issue, though, Daisy. Accessibility and maintenance are. The family has really been great in brainstorming this with me. We're talking about building a laundry chute from the second floor to the basement so I don't have to carry baskets of clothes, putting in double railings on all stairways so I can get up and down easier, putting in laminate flooring that doesn't require mops and buckets and scrubbing... things that will make life easier for me to negotiate yet still be me. I realize that this may be partially handicapping me BUT it doesn't mean I have to lose hope and give up! I just need to do things smarter is all! smart I just redid a condo in another state. I can do this, too! laugh

You and me both, Ecstasy, are re-organizing our lives big time, and its a great feeling. Your willingness to even initiate change is a thing in itself because as we get older we repell change. Oddly enough, again, like you, I find myself drawn toward as much change as possible. I lost many many years raising my son, but now that he's a bit older I have some freedom back and am loving it. I love that your family is working with you. That says a lot. Keep up the good work, my friend. I love your energy!

I, like MJ, do not usually share my resolutions with anyone. I am usually pretty good at keeping my word to myself. But I am so excited about this that I want to share!

I am taking a 12 week course called "New Years Manifesto". We meet once a week and it is a 2-hour class that uses meditation, journaling, vision boards, affirmations and group dynamic to help us get the most out of our lives. It is a fact that 85% of people who create New Year's Resolutions do not follow through; this class will help me be a part of the 15% who create lasting change!

I am really excited!
