Danny S.
A very good friend of mine, and fellow Blues musician/bandmate lost his only Daughter on Friday. It was a total shock, for me also.
Julie
Oh Danny--I am so very sorry to hear this. I know what a shock it is to lose someone suddenly--I'm a year and a month into it and I'm still in shock. Without God, my church family, my friends and grief support groups, I would be totally lost. Your friend needs you now and will need you in the coming months even more. The best advice I can give someone is to talk about the loss and talk about the daughter and your memories of her. A lot of people are uncomfortable with this and think if they bring it up they will make the person sad--but in reality, it's just the opposite. To act as if that person never existed is the worst thing anyone can do (unless the family specifically asks not to talk about it). It's much sadder to think that your loved one is not thought of by others. My heart goes out to all of you. Please know that you'll be in my prayers and my thoughts. Blessings,Julie

Ecstasy
Danny, I'm so very sorry. I understand and I sympathize. We just spent the day today at the funeral of my best friend's 17 yo son who committed suicide. Our family is shattered. You can try as hard as you can to comfort them yet you feel such terrible, crushing loss. Your and your friends' families are in my prayers for comfort and peace. mannoman
How very, very sad, Danny. We all think we have it bad...until we hear of other's hardships that cause them to take such measures to relieve their pain. Words fail at times like these.
