Reid C.
So often, the phrase "we'll do lunch" is more the polite brush off rather than anything of substance. At the post-concert gathering in Cleveland, I had the good fortune to talk briefly with Ira and he said we'd have to get together sometime when he came to the West Coast. Well, sometime turned out to be Saturday night when he called and invited me to dinner with himself and his long time friend Mel at their favorite rib emporium (come to think of it, mine too) just twenty minutes from my home. We had a wonderful evening of ribs, Raspberries, and great conversation. Thanks Ira, you are a great conversationalist and a fine gentleman. Let's do it again next trip. The Kiwi Connection
Reid, we know exactly what you mean. We "did lunch with Ira" at a Jewish deli. Now that was an experience for us especially as it was out first meal "dining out" after we had arrived in New Jersey. And Muzza has chatted to Mel on the phone talking about ... wait for it.. Jaguars!!!
