Tony Cartmill
And where would the hit song "I Like Big Butts And I Cannot Lie" be without those catchy lyrics?!?Why, you....! Snoop Dog is rolling over in his indoor Pot Garden when Lew speaks such nonsense!
seattlesteve
Just rewatched Bruce.. aint perfect, but thats kind of the message, if that's not rock and roll, and if thats not an incredible performance, then my opinion is immaterial, I'll be over behind the pool tables nibbling on my humble pie.. seattlesteve
The working man, against a backdrop of 3 million a minute, played for free.. and still paid the band. Like him or hate him.. he is the goods.

raspathens
I just sat there and enjoyed Bruce's performance through and through. The game was great. I ate too much junk food, the dog was on my lap for most of it. It was just one great Sunday evening. Maybe I dreamed this or hopefully read it somewhere but I recall that when Bruce was laying down the intro. to Born to Run, that he told his producer that he was looking for something that sounded like the intro. to I Wanna Be With You. So, when I hear BTR, I think "if not for the Rasps....."

So, when I hear BTR, I think "if not for the Rasps....." You didn't dream it. I've read interviews with Max Weinberg where he said that the intro of "BTR" was a combination of "The Locomotion" and "I Wanna Be With You." I'd bet that Jim Bonfanti was trying to get the "Locomotion" feel also when he did his intro to "IWBWY."
