Tony Cartmill
Mom came through pretty well today but she was in lots of pain tonight. It's supposed to get better tomorrow if she progresses well. She now has a bypass and a real pig's valve in her heart. I guess that is common these days. It should work OK in her heart, but she will have occasional desires to go roll in the mud. "Mom, you're almost 80! Stop rolling in the mud, will ya huh?"
ira
God bless you Tony-for finding the humor in everything.-Ira.
Muzza
Ah Tony. I can only echo what Ira says. Keep strong and enjoy all the moments you have with your mum. I lost both my parents over 10 years ago and still smile when I think of all the stupid things I did and yet they still loved me and cared what happened to me. Parents are a great invention. Mind you I reckon sons are as well. Daughters too. I have one and married someones. You and your mum continue to be in our prayers.Muzza (and Kiwi)
Ecstasy
Ok, so the doctors have things in place and are going to help her be well. She's already on the road to recovery and all seems to be going well. I'm so happy that the news is positive, Tony. Please keep sending the updates regularly. Ecstasy
How has she been doing the past couple of days, Tony? Is she comfortable? Feeling more at ease?
Tony Cartmill
Feeling less pain. But now they have to put a pacemaker in tomorrow to get that heartbeat up and steady. Just like Elton John...Thanks everybody. Mom thinks it's strange that people she doesn't know are praying for her. But she said thank you all, after I threatened to turn off her oxygen... Tony Cartmill
Cameron had a digestive/reflux problem that is being addressed. Ellen hates me for a secret I kept from her and we are considering counseling to find out why we don't have enough respect for each other... Mom is depressed because she feels so weak.Other than that, everything is great!
