CubbiefanMike
Who would of thought that Nomar would end up in Chi-town... anything is possible... Wasnt Damon clean cut early in his career before sporting the Helter Skelter look?

CubbiefanMike
I have joined the Dark Side! (darth vader deep breath) Konerko's Home Run probably got Steinbrenner to scratch is chin a little... free agent next year.
Lew Bundles
Mark my words...Clemens will be in his usual big game A-Clod form and get pasted tomorrow...
CubbiefanMike
It would be an interesting world series if it were Houston and Chicago... one team thats never been in it and another that hasnt won since Shoeless Joe. Although if it were Chicago and St Louis Larussa would be battling his old team.
Gregkevinw
cubfanmike........how could you? GO ANGELS!!!as for nomar ending up in chi....he's actually been in peoria and arizona (rehab assignments) more than our beloved chi-town. myself i am pulling for the cardinals, i respect larussa as a manager, imo he's the best in the game. Billy
Mets fan here pulling for the White Sox. Did not see the Sox at all this year, but have watched the playoff games -- I'm impressed. Good lineup.
CubbiefanMike
Yeah Greg I know Ive been taking alot of heat... the cubs fans think I'm a traitor and the Sox Fans think I am a jump on the bandwagon fan... I cant help it... my mom was from the Bridgeport area and my dad was from the northside.... so I am split.
CubbiefanMike
If the Sox were playing the cubs in the world series then you know who I would root for.
popdude
Mark my words...Clemens will be in his usual big game A-Clod form and get pasted tomorrow... Astros 4, Cardinals 3. Winning pitcher - Roger Clemens.
Billy K.
Gregkevinw, did you say Peoria AND Arizona....or did you mean Peoria in Arizona(there is a town in Arizona where some teams have their spring training)?
Lew Bundles
3 runs in 6 innings aint like shuttin somebody down...Thats 4 and a half runs per game...I can do that...
popdude
3 runs in 6 innings aint like shuttin somebody down...Thats 4 and a half runs per game...I can do that... Clemens gave up two runs in six innings, not three, which factors out to a 3.00 ERA. If you can do that, the Yankees can use you next year. Lew Bundles
This is a perfect set-up for Lew "Kreskin"s prediction for the Clemens/A-Clog duet...Tunes...I hear that pitchers and catchers are already in Tampa...
popdude
A-Clog Do you think up these brilliant nicknames all by yourself, or do you have help?
TOMMY TUNES
LEW, HERE'S THe scenario we need. Cashman stays on as GM with more power than he had in past. Leo Mizzoni signs on as new Yankees pitching coach. Torre announced today on Mike AND the Mad DOG show he is happy as Yankee Manager. If these get done quickly Cashman can get to work on building a great team for next year. we're not that far. Sign an athletic centerfielder, a young closer like B.J. Ryan from Orioles as a set up men for Mo get another quality reliever, move Small to bullpen and dare I say sign/trade for a quality defensive catcher. These things happen and BUNDLEMANIA will be running wild this time next year. What's Pat have to say about this?
Lew Bundles
Lew(Pat) heard the Torre interview...Sounds like a good plan, but they have to get rid of those jerks in Tampa that are attempting to undercut the coaching staff and dump A-Vlad...(That ones for you, Popdude)... TOMMY TUNES
Hey LEW, getting rid of the jerks in Tampa should be plan number 1. Hopefully the Cashman negotiations can do some damage here.( You know no one outside the tri-state area knows what the hell we're talking about).
