canadianchick
I know voting is important, but honestly...I probably know more about your "American" election than I did my own Canadian election day this year...
The Kiwi Connection
You think you guys are fed up, spare a thought for Muzza and I, not only are we getting all YOUR electioneering, but OURS as well. We go to the Polls on Saturday for OUR General Election! I saw a Bumper Sticker the other day that made me smile, it said...."Don't vote... it only encourages them"! darlene
I agree completely Chris!!! It's been riveting, exasperating and exhausting!!! I can't even begin to imagine how exhausting it's been for both sides to have travelled so much and fought so intensely. And after all the dust clears, they are all full of it for sure! This election must really be a crazy show for Canadians and onlookers from other countries. It's been a wild and sometimes nasty one. It made 2004 look benign. It probably is responsible for the migraine I have right now. I'll be glad when it's over, no matter who wins! --Darlene
marvin
I've followed this election closer than any other U.S. election and sadly, closer than our own election. One reason is, with all the tv coverage in the U.S., the election comes across as larger than life, almost like another tv show. The news outlets can't get enough of reporting from every single angle. Can't wait for the post-election analysis. On the other hand, it will be great to put this to rest and for the harsh words to stop and get back to arguing about whether "Tonight" is a better song than "Ecstacy."
