kenny
when i think of my favorite a number of them come to mind, american pie by don mclean, and one which i never get tired of is layla by derek an the dominoes which was the title track from one hell of a double album, the first half of layla was vocal, second half was a touching instumental, lead bt the great eric clapton, bobby whitlock, the late duane allman, the late carl radle,an drummer who played piano an co wrote layla with clapton, jim gordon who last i head was in a mental institution for killing his mother.one song i love which does not fall under rock is my way by the late legendary frank sinatra,if u have a favorite shout it out. Fred
Some of my favorite rock songs are: Jefferson Airplane - Somebody To Love, Santana - Evil Ways, Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze, Alice Cooper - Schools Out and The Who - Join Together. These are only a few. There were so many great groups in the 70's that had their own unique sound. Even if you did not know that a group had a new album as soon as you heard their sound you knew instantly the group. This is something that doesn't exist anymore. We had all the great groups in the 70's on Staten Island.

Zebra was a band that played the local (NY/NJ)club scene in the late 70S or early 80s as I recall/ I believe I DJ'd in a club they were performing at once. (The Soap Factory in Fort Lee N.J.)
