Some of my favorite rock songs are: Jefferson Airplane - Somebody To Love, Santana - Evil Ways, Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze, Alice Cooper - Schools Out and The Who - Join Together. These are only a few. There were so many great groups in the 70's that had their own unique sound. Even if you did not know that a group had a new album as soon as you heard their sound you knew instantly the group. This is something that doesn't exist anymore.

The first song that comes to mind is "More Than A feeling" by Boston.

"Who's behind the Door" and "Tell me what you want" by Zebra (both are available on itunes and they're the live version)

hummmm....good question..I will think about this without looking at either my ipod or music collection.....

Zebra was a band that played the local (NY/NJ)club scene in the late 70S or early 80s as I recall/ I believe I DJ'd in a club they were performing at once. (The Soap Factory in Fort Lee N.J.)
