I believe Lind was out of the music biz entirely for about 35 years....and just got back in it in '04 or '05.

I first heard "Cheryl's Going Home" (B-side of "Elusive Butterfly") in 1966 on The Blues Project's "Projections" album, speeded up a tad and sung by Steve Katz (later of Blood, Sweat & Tears)...great song! Adam Faith had a hit with it in the UK (late 60s or early 70s).

Also recommended - Jamie Hoover's "Lind Me Four" EP, where he covers 4 Bob Lind tunes, including "Elusive Butterfly". (NOTE: The 4 covers are also on Jamie's "Most Loved Melodies" compilation, which includes his best Spongetones, Hoover/Lloyd, VanDeLeckis and solo tunes....)
