marvin
I know that John ("popdude") has many fans on this site, and in a conversation with him today, he mentioned that he is working on his 2nd book -the "500 Greatest Power Pop Songs of All-Time." If you purchased John's last book about the greatest Power Pop Albums, you just know that the new book is going to be essential reading. John expects to have the book out by the end of the year. hollies65
JOHN.....Hunt down 'Julie Ann' by The Treble Boys! It's gotta be on the list...and The Hoodoos are Power Pop! This is great news because 'Shake Some Action' was a home run.
marvin
The book will consist of songs from 1970 onwards, and will include (in John's words), 'some extra special goodies.'

marvin
I've already quizzed John about which song he's given the #1 spot to, and though he says he's not revealing anything, something tells me that the position of honor belongs to a song we all love. Just my theory, not a certainty.
