Who's Your Favorite..

bands or music artists?

We've had a lot of threads touching the best this or that, but I don't recall a straight call to list our favorites.

(keeping my fingers crossed that Pierson will list a band I've heard of!)

Mine in order of rank:

1. Eric Carmen solo

2. Raspberries (1 & 2 have alternated back & forth over time)

3. Elton John (through "Single Man")

4. Neil Diamond (still creat'n great stuff at 65!)

5. Rush (through Hemispheres)

6. Foghat

7. Burton Cummings

8. Eagles (sometimes think they should be #1 on my list....a tremendous run through "Hotel California")

9. Vienna Choir Boys (put me on a higher plane)

10. Status Quo (only live show I've seen..1976 backing up Foghat..where I didn't know one song (at the time) but was completely "delivered"...when you look up "kick a**" in the dictionary, there's a picture of Status Quo)

11. REO Speedwagon (1st live album puts them here by itself...after it they were just average to good...and before it, the studio versions were well below the quality of the live versions

12. America

13. BeeGees

And you guys?

1. Elton...Almost everything except "Victim of Love"!

2.Billy Joel...wish he'd put out something new!

3.Beatles (of course!)

4.Eagles..."Desperado" is a classic album!

5.Cheap Trick...Robin Zanders voice never seases to amaze me.

6.The Monkees...The first group that got me interested in music. I was 8, and the different styles of music that they encompassed influenced me into liking different genres of music to this day...

7.Elvis...no need for explanation here.

8.Zeppelin...I don't listen to the radio so I've never gotten tied of thier stuff.

All year you're ranking on my Sex Pistols and then you go and rank them in your Top 20. Like EMF and Andrew "Dice" Clay say "You're unbelievable."
