Poor4Life
Here's a link to listen to Billy's new song. He wrote it for his current wife, and it's the title track from his new CD which is supposed to be released on March 20th! http://www.joelfan.com/gallery/details.p...3438c01dad1d88a Jeff

danmichel
Really nice song...Sounds like it's something Johnny Mercer could have written with Henry Mancini.
HT from Mo
Very Nice - it's got a blues/jazz sound to it. I would have never guessed it was Billy Joel. Thanks for sharing Jeff! HT

AnneG
It started off very nice - reminded me of Cole Porter in parts (not the lyrics..), but it didn't go anywhere after that.
Paul Davie
Four thoughts:1. First new (commercially) released song in 14 years...everyone is 'rusty' when they don't do something for 14 years. His voice actually cracked in the lower register. Hmmmmmmm.2. If his wife inspired him to write it, that's a beautiful thing.3. He was completely back in 'roots' mode... the Great American Songbook. We're too used to getting a jumpy pop tune like 'Middle Of The Night'.4. The lyrics sound like he's trying exorcise his demons....coming clean for his shortcomings. Admirable. But doesn't make for repeated listening.
