For many years, Criteria was home base for the BeeGees. But perhaps the most famous sessions recorded there were by Eric Clapton---the "Layla" sessions(Derek and the Dominos), as well as "461 Ocean Boulevard". Bessieboo Posted June 3, 2008 Share Posted June 3, 2008 Is it really one of the best recording studios in the world ? It is more than a little dumpy and in the worst area of town. I have been there five or six times over the years, I worried if my car would be there when I came out.... it was.The number of gold records on the walls is very impressive and a real treat to see.
