Brioohs
Just read online that Boston vocalist Brad Delp was found dead at home this afternoon. He was 55. No cause of death given at this time, but foul play is not suspected.A unique voice, and a shame to go so early.

hollies65
I was not a huge Boston fan..BUT..was a fan of Delp's voice. When he hits those high notes on 'More Than A Feeling' the hair on my arms stand up. R.I.P.

AnniekNY
God, I don't believe it...Boston's website is just a black screen with white lettering that says:We've just lost the nicest guy in rock n rollBoston is one of my top bands...when Brad could no longer hit those historic highs, he would just graciously point to fran Cosmo and Brad would pump up the crowd. One of our boarders recently posted a youtube video of a band called Beatlejuice whose lead singer was....Brad Delp.God, I couldn't agree with Lee and Matt more...S%@T! Paul Davie
I'm in the 'Boston wasn't in my favorite list of bands' category...but I still repsect Brad's exception vocal range and talent. Another void that can't be filled.

I'm trying to find Boston's website ~ I'm in such shock, feel so sad to hear of Brad's truly untimely death I grew up loving Boston's music, their music and the 'Berries were mainly what I listened to when my parents split up, helped me to feel better and I'll always love Boston (and the 'Berries!). What a terrible loss If anyone can lead me to Boston's site, it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

marvin
I'd bet if you polled the people on this Message Board, more than 1/2 of them either owned or have heard in its entirety the first Boston album. 30 years later, crank up "More Than A Feeling" and tell me that it still doesn't give you goosebumps. Rest in peace Brad.Marv
John P
The 1st album is the one I would have if I was stranded on a desert Island and one of the albums I could never get tired of listening to. I thought his passing was a joke at first. Terrible loss. John

Tim From Wisconsin
Very sad indeed... I was looking forward to seeing them in concert this year. I last saw them on the "Corporate America" tour, and they rocked for 3+ hours straight! I first saw them back in '78 on their "Don't Look Back" tour, and again on the "Third Stage" tour. What a great band, and what a fantastic voice Brad had - I will never get tired of listening to their music. WAY too young to leave us...Tim
marvin
I think that I woke up the neighbourhood this a.m. during breakfast when I blasted "More Than A Feeling", "Peace Of Mind" and "Rock And Roll Band." The music will live on.Marv
darlene
What a terrible thing to happen. I loved Boston. Their first album was one of the staples of my collection. Another musician gone at a terribly young age. RIP Brad.--Darlene
BeatleJay
Boston was so huge. I personally like "Don't Look Back" just as well as I do the first album.Rest in peace Brad.
Trindy
I would be one of those people who owned that first album. This is really sad news. What a shame.
Tony Cartmill
Why are all these rockers dying in their 50's?And did Brad help with the songwriting for Boston?...Or, just the golden voice?
marvin
Tom Scholz did the bulk of the songwriting, but from the first three albums, Brad co-wrote/wrote "Smokin'", "Let Me Take You Home Tonight", "Used to Bad News", "Party", "Cool the Engines", "Can'tcha Say", "Still In Love."Marv
