Matthew C. Clark
I was shocked to hear about this! In 1978, he had a solo album out called "Wet Dream". Matt
hbecstacy
He made such a vital contribution to the band, frequently overlooked as the spotlight shone on Waters and Gilmour. Listen to the piano on "Us and Them" off "Dark Side...": beautiful feel, a very delicate touch. He also wrote and sang a lot of their early songs in the Syd Barrett days.Worth checking out if you're a Floyd fan and can find it is his final solo album, 1997's "Broken China," a very PF-like concept album about his wife's battles with depression. Sinead O'Connor guested on two songs.R.I.P.--Howard
Mood Indigo
Where does the time go? Seems like about 10 years ago we saw them at Blossom (it was actually 1973) what a day, and show! $3 for lawn seats, he woulda been 30 at the time. He was more of a part of the band then he was ever given credit for, sad to see this stuff, I kinda sneak up on the obits these days afraid of what I might find.RIP Richard Wright
