sterling
Okay....I need some help. For all of you who watched the Stones at halftime of the Super Bowl....here is a question. What was the song they played between Start Me Up and Satisfaction?Phil
mannoman
Rough Justice is what I think I heard, Phil.

stringer
They looked great! What stamina these guys have!
Paulie Mississippi
Cleveland obviously needs a domed stadium. Then they could host the SB (and of course, the 'Berries would have to be halftime fare!)
danmichel
The audio mix for TV was pretty rough...Mick's vocal was way too upfront...like some karoake is...But it was amazing to see him dancing around just like he did 40 years ago on SATISFACTION. Raspbernie
The best part? Mick don't need no stinking lyp-sync! Great to hear live music again. They rocked!Bernie
Laura
I read on MSNBC that they had a 5 second delay and edited some of his lyrics. Maybe that's why I thought they sounded bad.
Brian
"Start Me Up"....and "Satisfaction"...what a surprise...ho-hummmmmmm

Bob Allen
Rough Justice is from the new one (the best off that disc, despite some goofy intro lyrics). It was amazing to see the band -- good god, they were packin'them in when I was a little boy, 'fer chrissakes and 40 years later here they still are. That's amazing to me. God bless 'em. ira
How come-to the best of my knowledge-The Stones don't do more of their great 60's songs and singles.Do they think that with the exception of Satisfaction and I'm told they sometimes do Paint It Black-it's uncool to do the stuff from the original "British Invasion"? I think 19th Nervous Breakdown,Get Off Of My Cloud,Stupid Girl,Under My Thumb,Mother's Little Helper,Heart Of Stone,As Tears Go By,Time Is On My Side,et al are great Rock And Roll.Again-maybe they do some of this stuff-I'm not the biggest Stones authority-but peeking at set lists (sometimes) and Greatest Hits collections I don't see much of this stuff.I understand that Start Me Up is a great drunken "Party Record' but I don't think it's a great record.-Ira. CubbiefanMike
Mick Jagger did his best Tina Turner strut as always... he needs to learn a new dance. It looked as if Ron Wood was playing alot of lead...KR was doing some great strums but not as good as it could have been. I liked Mick Jaggers comment before playing Satisfaction... "we could have played this at Superbowl 1 Halftime show".... that was classic. Ira Hot Rocks was my first Stones album and I agree they dont play much from that anymore... although I like Start Me Up even when I'm sober. Matthew C. Clark
By the way, Mick showed off his belly & did not dropped his pants!! Matt
mamacote
........it would have been nice had they bothered to tune their gee-tars..............
Raspbernie
I thought it was me but I also detected some "odd" sounds coming from Keith's guitar on "Satisfaction."Bernie
JohnO
Agree with Ira....aside from Satisfaction, Paint It Black, Ruby Tuesday, Little Red Rooster (about 10 years ago, I think), Not Fade Away (3 tours ago?), and a couple of soul covers (Everybody Needs Somebody, That's How Strong My Love Is), the Stones haven't been doing anything from their first 6-7 LPs in years. In addition th Ira's list, I'd also like to hear The Last Time and Tell Me. They appear to be primarily catering to their 70's catalog enthusiasts. Cozmik
You heard Keith's guitar? What I heard was no guitar in the mix for half of "Start Me Up" and then they turned up Ron Wood's guitar after he started a solo. As far as I could tell, they never turned up Keith's guitar and it was all Ron Wood we heard. But I could be wrong.
stringer
That's what a quick setup will do to you. Can you imagine the rushed sound check for that? That's probably why Paul McCartney lip synched last year!
Billy K.
Yes, John and Ira, I agree......
Tony Cartmill
I left the room at halftime, but I thought that watching the Stones perform these days was like watching those skeletons play on that famous Grateful Dead video, "Touch Of Grey".As soon as I hear that "Start Me Up" riff for the 500th time, I just get bored. The Stones, like The Grateful Dead, just never really appealed to me...Maybe with another lead singer, some of their songs might be stronger, since many were well written...
