Muzza
Yep... last night Kiwi and I went down to the local to enjoy a night with the Drifters. In spite of their age those guys can still put on a great show. They were on stage for 2 hrs so their energy levels aren't too bad!!!Among their great hits they also sang songs by Sam Cooke, BB King and James Brown. It was fun to be with the guys live who I used to listen to on the radio back in the '60s. Unfortunately it was a small audience but people really partied to their music.Muzza
Lee Marshall
Which Drifters? Every time they complained about the lousy money they were getting...they were replaced by new faces. There must have been anywhere from a dozen to maybe 15 Drifters during their significant recording days. Who was there Muzza?
Muzza
The three we had here were Billy Washington, Wayne Foster and Patrick Jackson (formerly of the Coasters).Irrespective of who was in it we had a great night with a very polished and energetic performance.Muzza
