AnniekNY
I knew i could post this and have an answer in no time: I figure at least Bernie might know since he's in the biz:The new 7-Up commercials that show cans of 7-up being "picked" and cleaned - all natural. The singer is singing "We've got the sunshine in our hands...let it shine all over this land..."Is that David Cassidy singing?Thank you all for fulfilling my need for instant gratification! Poor4Life
If that's not David Cassidy, it's a pretty good impression. I also think it's him...Jeff
AnneG
Sure does sound like David.Has anyone listened to his recent work? Years ago I heard his remake of "I Think I Love You" in an interview. He sounded finally at peace with his past and himself, and together. The remake was an interesting updated version, and I wondered how solid the rest of his work was.Anne
AnniekNY
I heard he had a Vegas show "SFX" and he apparently did an excellent job. His brother Shawn is quite the science fiction TV show writer/producer - he has one on now...I forget the name, something to do with water. Another one he had starring Gary Cole as a small town sheriff who seemed to be the devil was really good.
Brioohs
That's actually a Partridge Family song titled "Sunshine." Don't remember which album it's from - one of the later ones.Just checked - it's on Crossword Puzzle.

Julie
A couple of days before my subscription to XM expired in my car, I heard the Partridge Family singing on the 70's channel. I hadn't heard them on anything but a scratched up LP. Man, David has got a gorgeous voice. It's absolutely beautiful! Makes me want to download some of his tunes onto the iPod! Ecstasy
Another one who never got the credit he really deserved and "grew up" to ave an incredible voice was Donny Osmond. I never got to see the show but the reviews on Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (correct title?) were raves!
Tony Cartmill
I saw Donny Osmond during his 1990 "Soldier of Love" tour and he was really good. David and Donny have voices that stand the test of time!
hbecstacy
FYI, Shaun Cassidy's latest series was the ABC scifi show "Invasion", sadly canceled after one season.Previously, Shaun created and wrote the CBS horror series "American Gothic" and the Fox fantasy series "Roar".A talented guy indeed...and I hear he used to sing too. ira
AND Kathy-IMHO the story of Joseph and Co.teaches one of the greatest lessons in the Bible. Can you imagine that thousands of years ago-before "Freud,Oprah,Dr. Phil, and Family Counseling" "whoever" created the Bible (Please let's not debate this here-it's far too complicated) realized the calamity that poor parenting and preferential treatment can cause in a family.Talk about "Sibling Rivalry" and the original "Dysfunctional Family"..-SHEESH-Ira. Bob Allen
As I've posted previously: David Cassidy's solo LP 'Home Is Where the Heart Is' [1976] is a must have. If you have not heard it, and you like his voice, go find it.
AnniekNY
My husband got me tickets ( a few years back ) to see the play "Blood Brothers" on Broadway with Petula Clark... AND David and Shaun Cassidy....I was freaking out...People magazine had a spread on them the same week...I get to the theater and get the Playbill and out falls a little piece of paper with the dreaded words:"The role of...played by David Cassidy will be played by...." AND "The role of....played by Shaun Cassidy will be played by...."they were both at Patrick's wedding that day....I couldn't believe it...but the understudies were tremendously talented. I have never been disappointed by an understudy....
popdude
I have never been disappointed by an understudy.... I took my kids to see The Wiggles in concert three years ago ( ), and their lead singer, Greg (the guy in the yellow shirt) was absent. The guy they had taking his place looked nothing like him, sounded nothing like him and was about 30 pounds heavier than Greg Wiggle.Needless to say, we were all bummed. My then-five-year-old kept asking "who's that guy wearing Greg's shirt?
AnniekNY
Why do they (kid show producers) think that they can pull the wool over kids' eyes?
popdude
why do they (kid show producers) think that they can pull the wool over kids' eyes? Good question - especially when the kids are often more savvy about such things than the adults are!
BadfingerBarb
My favourite Wiggles episode is the one where Murry's red shirt is dirty so he wears a Hawaian shirt and nobody recognizes him.
darlene
Kath, One of my schools put on "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat" in the '70s. The kids did a fantastic job. You could stage it at Sugar's Soda Shoppe. I'll put on my TYM shoes and be "Mrs. Potaphar." --Dar
