All I know is that the improved sound is going to make the listening alot more enjoyable.

Recently, I read a short preview/review of the "White Album" in Mojo Magazine and they raved...so I'm hoping for the best.

THAT particular Beatles album (though, they basically weren't acting as a "group" anymore, during the recording of the White Album!), I'll be first in line for ~ one of my all-time

faves! smile

I hope these re-masters are top notch ~ I'll pick and choose, lol, as I don't need yet a third or fourth, copy of another Beatles album (however, am a HUGE fan!!)~ that being said, can't WAIT!!

I'm still trying to get used to hearing "Drive My Car" as the 1st song on Rubber Soul when I am so used to hearing "I've Just Seen A Face" as the first song. I can't get used to hearing "I've Just Seen A Face" on the Help British release. Does anybody else feel this way?

Yeah, that still messes me up too. I wore out 2 copies of Rubber Soul in the sixties, and the song order and selection on the Capitol releases (although technically wrong by what the Beatles/Martin actually wanted) was burned into my brain forever. Actually every album up to Sgt. Pepper messes me up. It's just not the way my brain remembers it to be.

I am. I refuse to succumb to Steve Jobs digital distribution propaganda.

When I met Lewis Black this past year it suddenly hit me, you can't get an MP3 autographed!

I still listen to my LP's...I'll never get rid of them...and I treasure the autographs on my Bay City Rollers albums fom Les and Ian

Billy is right...MP3's have poor fidelity.Just try plugging your ipod into a really high-end HiFi system and play it back through the speakers. The sound is akin to an unscratched 45rpm..very flat,no depth or presence. My kids didn't realize the difference until I educated them. However, most young people don't really give a hoot about the sound quality.Times have indeed changed. When I was in my teens I built my stereo system from kits, the speakers from scratch.Strong bass notes would literally blow out a match held up in front of the grill cloth.
