Rest In Peace: Dan Seals

I sadly regret passing on a chance to see him live a few years back... can't imagine what was so important as he was one of my favorites... both with JFC and then solo... My favorite of his tunes was "Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)" over on the country side of things...

And after my years out west in Idaho, I agree with another of his sentiments... "God Must Be A Cowboy"...

And... according to a news article I just read...

"Seals' older brother, Jimmy, was the Seals in Seals & Crofts, who recorded the hits "Summer Breeze" and "Diamond Girl" in the 1970s.

Until Dan Seals got sick, the brothers were working as a duo, Seals & Seals. They performed some shows and were recording an album but never finished it. The songs they did complete, about eight in all, will be released."

RIP Dan.

Danny Seals was one of the nicest people I ever had the chance to meet...I consider myself lucky to have known him casually in the '70's and '80's. In addition to his wonderful talent, he was a caring man with a gentle, loving soul...a truly good person on all levels. He was an angel here on earth and my heart goes out to his friends and family.
