Mccartney at Virgin NYC instore

I went yesterday to the Mccartney instore at Virgin Megastore in NYC. Camped out over night from 7pm sunday to finally meeting Paul at 1:45 pm monday. Plenty of caffeine consumption for me to keep me going. In my 30 second moment with Paul, he did say that he is planning a Wings/solo video dvd collection of all his music videos. John

Well Paul did appear to be relaxed and in a somewhat somber mood. You had to be very brief with him. Those who were not were escorted out by security. Did take pictures and video footage, unfortunately a photo with Paul was not allowed. Did hear that 200 people on line were turned away at the door so I would assume 300 made it in. Shaking his hand and chatting with him was sureal. Anybody else go? John

I'm sure there are some who will read this thread and say 'big deal.' For others like myself, I cannot even fathom my reaction if presented with the opportunity to meet Paul. I would have been in awe and probaby blubbered something juvenile. Probably similar to how I felt meeting Eric, Jim, Dave & Wally for the first time in 2004.

I met Paul too! I changed my weekend plans to visit Mom in DC (she'll get me Thanksgiving) and camped 25 hours in the line from about noon Sunday until the moment and then stayed there till he was gone. I wrote it up, as have others, on his fan community board: I'm third down on this page. I posted a few more things later as my memory was jogged.

I took some photos and video though I brought my smaller camera, having heard that cameras were banned. I'm bummed I didn't bring my 7 MP 12x zoom with big flash, but I'm going to try to improve what I shot. I'm still hoping that somebody might have gotten me and Paul in the same shot. In short, I'm really happy that I was able to meet him at last, but I am sorry that he was not feeling his best (understatement).
