Best way to have a shirt noticed is to have the lady wear it! smile (Be careful, though, Richie Sanbora is newly seperated and could be on the prowl!)

True story: I was selling some Bon Jovi tank tops on eBay this past Christmas and I accidently listed a shirt as L when it was actually M. The woman who bought it wrote me back after agreeing to take the smaller shirt after I told her of my error:

"I'm going to see him in concert in January," she said, "so the tighter the shirt, the better!"

We just found out yesterday that the great Cheap Trick will be playing here in Maplewood Minnesota on March 24th. Even when things weren't happening (The Doctor) they at least kept moving on without quiting. I think these guys have always been closer to the Raspberries sound then perhaps any other group, including Bon Jovi. This has been refreshing, as I never knew there was a connection between Raspberries and Bon Jovi, other than an appearance at a Raspberries show.

David Bryan of Bon Jovi is a nice man who grew up around Edison N.J. and very often would return and blow the "Shofar"-the Ram's horn-which ends the day-long Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur at Temple Emanuel in Edison. He sorta rocked the house...(Of Worship) and tht was cool.Hey I wouldn't mind havin' all his buds comin' this September and wrapping up services with "Livin' On A "Prayer"I'd sing in the choir for that.Ira-Edison-N.J.

David Bryan, Bon Jovi keyboardist, has donated two of his personal tickets at the Seattle show for the Music for All foundation, which I believe includes backstage passes too. Currently on ebay they are going for over $1,000.

Cheap Trick is a solid power pop live band, seen them many times. They mysteriously have cancelled an upcoming Seattle casino show.

Yeah darlene, I've seen the video and also the "Crossroads" with Jennifer's group Sugarland on the same stage as the Bon Jovi squad. Excellent work on that concert on both parts.

During the concert, in one of the interview clips, Jon says that he thought he had "stumbled onto something" when he discovered all the great talent in Nashville. It was quickly pointed out to him that it's been there all along...

And also yeah, that song does have a lot of "raspberrie-esqueness" to it...

That's cute, that JBJ thinks he "stumbled" on Nashville. I've been there several times and every visit was some kind of revelation. On one visit, after finishing up recording at Fireside Studios, Porter (Waggoner) had an intimate little get together with some of the band above the recording studio and played some old tapes of Dolly Parton. After a few drinks all around, he waxed poetic about their collaboration. It was extremely interesting to hear about it all.

There are so many wondrous stories to hear from all of the wonderful people you meet, and music just pouring out of every doorway, not to mention the fun of going to a couple different studios to record and comparing them. My favorite engineers were Tom Pick and Roy Shockley. I can't imagine anyone better (except of course, my "fave" in the world, Dennis "The Fly" Ferrante!) Ahh, Nashville. Great times, great music, great memories.

smile --Darlene
