Hmmmm....methinks Mr. Nathan knows one Hell of a lot more about disco than everyone else on this board combined!

Me? While I like the occasional disco tune, I don't pretend to know enough about the genre to list a "top 5"....I'd be better off listing my 5 least painful surgeries....

This is all about "categories" and how broadly you define "disco". Here are some more mainstream selections...

Summer Night City - Abba

Knock on Wood - Amii Stewart

Heart of Glass - Blondie

Love's Theme - Love Unlimited Orchestra

I Feel Love - Donna Summer

A lot of female vocalists here. And I left out the Bee Gees ("Tragedy" was good, but is it disco?), who saved their career with falsetto.

Disco!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

During the 'era' I enjoyed some R&B that was designated as Disco...

Play That Funky Music...Wild Cherry

Getaway...Earth Wind and Fire

That's the Way I Like It...KC and the Sunshine Band

Bustin Loose...Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers

Jive Talkin'...Bee Gees

All of that pitta pitta/pitta pitta high hat crapola still makes me hurl.

Let's see....Of the urinary tract surgeries - the three urethrotomies were all painful as Hell....so they're out. The ureteral/kidney stone removal from '78 wasn't too painful, but this was before ultrasound, so I was in the hospital 5 weeks...I'd count that anyway as 1. The laser-blasting and removing of a bladder stone that was the size of a nickel in '00 wasn't too bad, so that's 2....

Before I get to the intestines (and I've had Crohn's disease for 37 years, BTW)...do you really want me to continue???........
