popdude
So my children and I are taking a walk today, when suddenly a "pimped out" SUV rolls by us blasting some obnoxious rap crap.My eight-year-old daughter looked at me and offered a very succinct critique: "Ew."My five-year-old son then turns to me and says "Daddy, I don't like that 'yo, dude' music."Can't say I disagree... TOMMY TUNES
I remember when my 10 yr old son, who was 9 at the time said to me "I'm not a rap person dad."
gordharris
Keep that rap crap away from me too, I cannot stand that either. To me that's not music. That's volcano music. trying to erupt the nearest volcano, maybe sT.Helens

AnneG
We used to live on a street that often had a "thumpa dumpa" car go by ---my husband often remarked he wanted to reach for a shotgun.
Lee Marshall
Not my cuppa tea. But to each his/her own. I remember old farts thinkin' that what I liked back in the 60s was "crap" too.Fairly certain that most of it won't stand the test of time though. Then again...how much of what we bought 40[ish] years ago still gets played?Except on oldies stations...not much.----------------------------...as for the little ones' reactions...peer-group pressure will grab them soon enough...
