Live On Sunset Strip!

Hi everyone..first time post here.

Though the countdown clock continues, I was very fortunate to pick up the deluxe set today in Chicago.

Let me just say, its everything I had hoped for. I caught Raspberries live not only here in Chicago, but in New York also and this is the real deal. Its live, its exciting, it rocks. The sound is great and the five song bonus DVD will hold me over till the special edition comes.

Get ready to go nuts!

Turn it up!

Thanks Chris!

As for where I was lucky enough to find it...one of the last of its kind, a real independent owned music store. I got very lucky!

Four copies and I grabbed two. I also moved the other two and placed them in the display section above. I didn't want them to get lost alongside Capitol's 05 Greatest Hits.

Restocking Raspberries hasn't been this much fun since 1972.

Well I saw it...and I could not buy it...Borders at Crocker Park in Westlake...The guy said he could not sell it till tomorrow...even with a ten dollar bribe! I called Record Den in Mentor [i worked there in the late 70s] And I could get it tonight...BUT that's a hour drive and I just got home from work. First thing tomorrow!

I am going to buy a download from I-Tunes plus buy a another copy from a local store and await the full version DVD in a couple weeks as well.

Just doing my part. I would love if we could push it up in the I-TUNES top ten download list.

Restocking Raspberries... I thought I was the only one who always made sure Raspberries and/or Eric albums were moved to the front of the stack...

Ryko tells me that some Best Buy stores are stocking the release, but that it's a regional decison by the store and district managers. Maybe we need to start calling and visiting our local Best Buy stores and, if they are not stocking the best release of the year, let them know of their mistake just like Baby Sister did!

I dropped in Best Buy last night and the clerk looked the set and CD up in their computer. When he saw the release date as today, he said Best Buy policy says media releases are released at 1:00 p.m. on the release date. Any store caught selling any item before that date/time is heavily fined. The boxes apparently are delivered with markings of the earliest date they go on the floor, so the local store doesn't even check them into the computer as received until that date - just to keep employees from giving in to a customer. He said that until 1:00 p.m. today, there isn't even any way for him to know if this store will be carrying it.

Another comment was that Best Buy Online keeps the demographics of areas receiving heavier online orders of items. An area with higher sales will usually receive automatic stocking of something that appears to be selling in a given area.

I just spoke with someone at the Barnes & Noble store on Chagrin Blvd. When asked if they were carrying it in store the answer was no but I could order it online, again I told the clerk it was a big mistake to not be carrying it as I knew alot of people that were looking for it. She then replied that since I called she was going to order some to have in store !!!!

Tim,

The Bluemound Best Buy has 1 copy. The person I talked to asked if I wanted him to hold it for me.

I said no because I didn't want it sitting behind a counter where no one would see it. Why on earth would they only order 1 copy? We'll patiently wait for the Limited Edition and the 2 copies we pre-ordered from Amazon.

Julesberry stores are not going to stock multiple copies of items that they can't sell. With all due respect, I'm guessing your town is small, so I wouldn't expect that any store in your town would have more than a couple copies of the cd. It will be the major outlets in the major cities that will be the ones with generous copies of "Live On Sunset Strip."
