canadianchick
Hi Eric:Just wandering, everyone is always talking about their fav guitars here...do you or is there a fav piano you like to play...I mean to you, is there a better sounding one and currently how many do you have in your home...or just one favourite that you and Clayton tinker on?"By the way if this has been asked and answered before, sorry and I will take any answer
Tony Cartmill
Well, I know Fisher Price is pretty durable and can handle those cold Cleveland winters, without getting out of tune. So, that's my guess...or a Steinway, or Yamaha Grand...
canadianchick
Thats right...its the same make as your guitar...

Kirk
I can do a little better than Fisher-Price. About 10 years ago Cleveland magazine did a write up on Eric and Susie's home. It mentions Eric's 'Yamaha conservatory grand piano'. Good choice. I had a Yamaha baby grand in the '70's. Stayed tuned forever and had the nicest timbre. Tony Cartmill
Kirk, don't look too closely to that guitar you won here...(made in China)
Kirk
I bought a watch back in the 60's that had 'made in usa' on it. It was a Japanese watch and they had a town named Usa. Pretty tricky!

Yes I'm sure their home has gone through many changes since then, with the addition of children, but still, I'd like to see and read the article if at all possible. Thanks, --DM
Daisy McLintock
Sadiis, in answering you, I don't play the piano yet, so I wouldn't know what one sounded like against another, but that'd sure be an interesting test. I wonder what the salesmen of pianos are going to tell you. 'Oh, this one sounds like ___, and this one sounds like ___.
hollies65
Alot more guitar players than piano players around here is my guess.
Danny S.
Kirk, I believe you won a "Taco-caster" Assembled in Mexico...serial # should start with a capital "M"...
Kirk
Danny- Correctomundo! It must be pretty well made. I tuned it when I got it and it's still in tune I was afraid all that dusting and polishing might knock it out of tune Daisy- Cleveland Magazine
Daisy McLintock
Great. Thanks Kirk.

Billy K.
Actually the "Hecho en Mexico" version of the "Nashville" Tele is great! That will be my next electric purchase, for sure.
Billy K.
Just wondering about the late 60s-early 70s Steinways.......how is the quality? The reason I asked, is that CBS went on a buying spree, and Steinway was one of the things they did buy. Seems like everything else they bought at that time, they made a mess of.Fender's quality started to go down at that point.Rogers drums was another property CBS picked up.I think they went bankrupt, right?? And another thing CBS owned at the time were the New York Yankees, who were not that good under their ownnership.
Daisy McLintock
I wonder if the piano would sound the same if placed in other rooms? Gosh I can't remember what my friend said about acoustics. He used to work as a recording engineer. Quality of sound and sound waves.....
