Eric Carmen
Someone in an earlier post said "Bad things happen to good people" and I had to laugh. The judge used the exact same phrase when she was talking to me at the trial. I think she realized the impact of the months leading up to my "incident" and, although there's no excuse for what I did, she understood how it happened. ec
Bessieboo
I am very happy you were seen by a Judge with compassion and wisdom. It's a great combination that is too often lacking in our world.
Muzza
Yeah, we have just had a judge here reduce the sentence of a guy who stabbed someone a number of times. Claimed he was a victim!! You can imagine what the response of the person stabbed is. A judge without compassion and understanding will never understand what people go through sometimes when a crime is committed against them. I agree with you Bessie and I'm pleased for Eric how this has worked out. Muzza
luvthemraspberries
So glad to hear you're doing well Eric and that you're able to put the legal issue behind you, I know it's been a very tough start to the year for you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are always with you! Take care of you and get back to rockin' and rollin' as soon as ya can, can't wait to hear and see the DVD on VH-1 (fingers crossed!)!! anita cottino
Eric, To quote Dionne Warwick "That's What Friends Are For", we support you during the goods and the bads. We are sad when you are and rejoy when you are happy. Enjoy life and, perhaps, this "incident" will bring us the honor to have you write something great - as you always said, you find easier to compose when you are (were) sad. Trindy
Eric, glad to hear things turned out okay and are getting better for you. You seem to have come away having learned something from this and it's a good thing you were dealing with a judge who understood that events don't happen in a vacuum. Take care of yourself and go easy on yourself in the times to come...the more you do that, the better things will be.
