MJ
You know Florida is a prime location for touring lol - especially in the winter months - there's Tampa, St Petersburg, Sarsaota, Orlando - just to name a few Hint Hint Hint.
mannoman
You Go MJ. Florida has a large Rasperries contingent
Tiggsherby
I say Eric and Jim go out as Eric Carmen and Raspberries with Paul, Billy and Jennifer. They do Raspberries stuff along with Eric Carmen solo stuff and bill it as such...still need another "name" act to open up but other then that, it should be a winner!!!! MAM
And what about Dave and Wally?
hollies65
Why wouldn't Wally and Dave be touring too? Does someone know something I don't?
Raspyrock
I overheard that Wally is ready to go!!
darlene
I'm sure they're *all* ready to go as soon as the cd/dvds get into all the stores and sales get on a roll. If we want a tour, *we* have to do *our* part and demand that the stores carry the cd/dvd and demand airplay on all our local radio stations. --Darlene

raspberrywine
The time is right. Seize the moment. Almost two years since the last gig. Where did the time go?Its time to rock. Wally should dust off that double-neck Gibson and Eric should start limbering up those vocal chords. The press has been very good on the DVD release, Id say go back to New York and let it rip. raspberrywine
One final thought. Going back to Carnegie. Zankel Hall, the newest space at Carnegie Hall, seats about 550 people. We can fill it, New York can fill it guaranteed. That would be neat to return there after 34 years. Being history minded, I cant see how Carnegie Hall wouldnt be interested in such an idea. MJ
Good idea raspberrywine - just make sure it's in November or later - I'm going on vacation in October and I do NOT want to MISS THIS! And if that doesn't work, there is the Ruth Eckerd Hall in Tampa and the Van Wezel in Sarasota - that would be just right for them! There are a lot of smaller venues that would LOVE to have the band play.
seattlesteve
If the timing isn't at least close to being right, it never will be. Extremely positive reviews and famous liner notes can be used for promotion, actual new merchandise to sell, a LIVE dvd even.HOB circuit, local radio promo interviews, and for god sakes, with these reviews and Springtsteens endorsement can't anyone get them booked on a late night national talk show? darlene
To quote Eric, as I think I remember hearing that he said at one point before the initial reunion, "If not now, *when*?" As usual, he succinctly summed up the whole situation and was right on the button. --Darlene

The "If not now, *when*?" thing falls into the category of what I call the 'old-age rocking-chair litmus test'. You don't want to be in that rocking chair looking back wishing you'd have done this or that. You want to have good memories and few regrets! Don't leave anything on the table --- blow it out --- go full tilt baby!! Just my humble view!!
Al K
Our grass roots marketing efforts apply to the club circuit also - feel free to call your HOB - type facilities (1000 seat venues), get the name of the talent buyers and let 'em know there is demand for a Raspberries show. The talent buyers at the clubs will let the promoters and agents know there is a demand, and that will only help our cause to get the band out to play some shows! MJ
Al I sent you a link to the Van Wezel - Rick Springfield is going to play 11/7/07 - so I think they'd have the Raspberries don't you????
AnneG
That's a superb idea, Al! Why don't we organize ourselves by region, make up a master list of possible venues, and then split the calls - it sure would be more organized and focused than each one of us pursuing this on our own. We could forward the list on to you, if that would help. How about it???!Anne
MJ
Great idea Anne I'll put in my two cents.... HOB in Orlando....who else is down in my area who wants to get a list together?
Tim From Wisconsin
I e-mailed a friend of mine today who is the Entertainment Manager for the Northern Lights Theatre here in Milwaukee. This Theatre is the perfect size, has great acoustics, and would be a perfect addition to a Raspberries Mid-West swing! I offered to lend him my new DVD of "Live On Sunset Strip" if he needs to see for himself how fantastic they are live!Tim
Art
I guess there have been two live events discussed: Eric's solo performance at Severance Hall in Cleveland (delayed from last year thanks to Barbra Striesand), and a Raspberries tour. Anyone have any insight into the status of these?
mannoman
MJ, you can be sure there are a ton of us in Florida that are Raspberries fans: Ann Marie Linda Florida Pilot (Jason) Stan Arthur Bessieboo Ann Tate JCraft Dean Tyler Karen Shane Angelina Peachie To name a few.
