MJ
I have two I can think of right off the top of my head - And You & I by Yes and Windy by the Association..... both of them take me away - one takes me out somewhere beautiful with a guy I never quite got over, and the other into the city just having fun lol. darlene
This is a really good topic. It depends on "love/joyous" or "love/wistful." I love Raspberries songs for both emotions. "Joyous" would be "I Wanna Be With You." "Wistful" would be "I Can Remember," which is a whole symphony unto itself. "She Remembered" is also overwhelmingly beautiful and would also fall under that one, but ICR is so grand that it expresses an entire spectrum of emotions. Other songs that express wistful longing are "Midnight Blue" by Melissa Manchester, "We've Got Tonight" by Bob Seger and "Never My Love" by The Association. I've always wanted to be "Jennifer" in "Make Me Lose Control," so if I could be a *character* in one of the songs, it would either be "Jennifer" in MMLC or "Deanie" in "Hey Deanie." Both are so joyous and carefree--who could ask for more? --Darlene
danmichel
Never Gonna Fall In Love Again...Because i really can take a trip back in time when i sang it on the beach for my friends at Daytona in 1977...But of all the songs i could transport myself into...It would really have to be Desperado by the Eagles...that one still gets to me every time. Tim From Wisconsin
The first song that popped in my head was "Netherlands" by Dan Fogelberg. It's my favorite song off of an outstanding album!Tim
