Rasburied
Hi Eric, I have a question regarding your Arista solo catalog. Would you ever consider buying the rights to your Arista solo recordings and putting them out on cd on yor own? It's anyone's guess if the day will ever come that Arista reissue's your solo records on cd here in the USA. John
Raspbernie
Long overdue! I second the motion!Bernie
Poor4Life
I'm surprised they weren't released a few years ago after I bought the Japanese pressings. That's what usually happens when I do that. I go and spend mega bucks on import copies, then they end up getting released a couple months later with bonus tracks. I'm glad I held off on buying those Bee Gees CD's, now that they're being rereleased! Jeff
ira
Does anyone know? How do "Tie And Razor" or "Varese Saraband" or "Shout Factory" or "Collectables" or any of those labels work out deals with the majors. They do nice jobs selling well-packaged thousands- instead of millions- of cds by classic artists, and we fans reap the benefits.Any chance I could someday buy "Boats..." on "Tie And Razor" with bonus tracks ? -Ira. Raspbernie
Hey, Eric! How about taking me up on my offer to help you digitize and sort through those BOATS mater tapes you have in your attic for a 30th Anniversary definitive "Boats Against The Current" box set with bonus tracks :-) The celebration is 15 months away -- let's get started!Bernie

skip from st.paul mn
Bernie, without having to reference Marathon Man, could you please inform the session dates and what caused the, what we perceived at the time, delay in the release of Boats Against The Current. If memory serves me correctly, Boats would have been released a few months prior.

darlene
I have an all Tchaikowsky concert to play tomorrow (make that TODAY!) and what am I doing at 3 AM? I'm on EC.com, because there's ALWAYS something happening! --Darlene
Brian Mac
C'mon E, Bernie is between books right now, the Website is rockin and apparently the man has boundless energy and passion when it comes to your music. If not him then who? Besides, it's time to clean up that messy attic...
Poor4Life
There's also Wounded Bird, who do straight reissues (meaning no bonus tracks) they've been reissuing old albums by Joe Walsh, Don Felder, Timothy B Schmit, Tom Johnston, Jay Fergusen and others...Jeff
Matthew C. Clark
Wounded Bird does NOT have the rights to the Arista catalog because I wrote to them. Matt
raspberrywine
I love the "Best of" Arista Eric anthology that begins with the Raspberries material and then goes into Erics hits. Its a great, great CD.
Tony Cartmill
Kyle Vincent has been trying to buy back his old catalogue, But he hasn't quite ponied up the right amount of cash. The record execs would rather let the old recordings sit there rotting away.
Eric Carmen
Bernie, If only I had the reels of 2 inch tape I'd happily let you digitize them. Unfortunately, the stuff I have is just rough mixes on 1/4 inch tape. There are some interesting tapes, but I don't think you can work from these. According to Arista, the only tapes they have from that album are "A Temporary Hero" (go figure) and "Boats Against The Current." We inquired recently about the tapes. Where are the rest of them? This isn't exactly like misplacing your car keys. ec
Tony Cartmill
"A Temporary Hero" is the one that needs to be given a chance at stardom! Bernie and the "ReMaster Posse" are ready and waiting...Unless you want to include it on the next Raspberries CD?
Foolin' Myself
Rhino makes their own re-issues and compilations. They even sell EC's first solo CD with the special live version of Sunrise.
