raspathens
Eric : Tell us something about why the band chose this venue. How is it similar or different to the HOB? What have you heard from other artists? Have you ever played there before? Thanks.
Marc Nathan
Well, I'll tell you this... it's pretty much a guarantee he's never played there before. It just opened this year.
Eric Carmen
We figured if it's good enough for Paul McCartney, it's good enough for us. ec

austinberries
only problem w/ The Highline is... IT'S NOT IN AUSTIN, TEXAS!!! ;-)
darlene
Patience, pilgrim! Oct 13th New York City and after they sell that venue out--who knows?! I have some great feelings about all this! I'm beginning to love it when somebody says, "It doesn't look like there's gonna be another show," because that's when I start meditating on that old mustard seed and say, "Oh yes there will." Then, sure enough, it happens." Don't rule out Austin, or anywhere else yet. --Darlene
JohnO
To quote my friend Lindsey, who lives in NYC, is a musician (band - Kitty & The Kowalskis), has played everywhere in all five boroughs, saw the 2nd BB Kings 'Berries show, has impeccable taste in music, AND has one of my VIP tickets for this show - "the Highline is an awesome venue!!!" John P
I'm glad that they aren't playing at HOB. Security there is too tight. They treat a Raspberries show like if its a rap or metal concert. I call HOB, HOFS. Take a guess what FS stands for.
Raspyrock
So they won't confiscate my pocket knife???Some of us actually use knives as tools instead of weapons!
Raspyrock
I hear you can now take toenail clippers in your carry-on bags aboard the airplane. Yep, I was always worried about someone trying to clip the pilots toenails in mid-flight. :p
JohnO
Pre-9/11/01....Hell, this was back in the early 90's - a lady friend of mine had her pinking shears confiscated by airport security in DC - she was going to do some sewing while in St. Louis.I had visions of a potential hi-jacker with those shears - "Turn this plane around and head for Cuba, or I'll hem the pilot's trousers!!!"
