Seemed to work for me. Mail 'boy' hasn't sent it back...yet. Al...I didn't get any e-mail...can't recall any of the info re:purchase other than that I got in on it fairly early...like during the first 'wave'. I DID get the Berrie's book when it was mailed out to the package purchasers no problem though.

Seems to me I had to change my mailing address [due to our move from Toronto to Temiskaming Shores] which I did on April 18/07. My e-mail address is still the same though.

IT is > reggaeplus at yahoo dot c a <.

[just in case there IS a problem with reaching you via the information super highway Al]

Picture PERFECT

I beg everybody's pardon in advance but I've got one criticism I'll mention on the chance somebody will consider it.

The picture is NOT perfect. I just think we should have better resolution. It looks fine as long as the picture's small but blow it up to full screen and it gets blurry and blocky. You can get some really good quality pictures with QuickTime and a decent resolution. Check out some of the movie trailers on the net in QuickTime. Of course, the file size would be bigger and take longer to download, especially for the broadband-less.

Anyway, I don't want to be negative for the sake of being negative because this is a real treat and the band sounds fantastic. I'm just suggesting we get an option to download a higher resolution copy of goodies like these.

Austinberries, here's the goody list:

The Special Edition set includes:

• The 21 song audio CD and the 21 song DVD of the Los Angeles show, recorded October 21, 2005 (NOTE: ONLY 5 VIDEO TRACKS will be AVAILABLE on the commercial release!)

• Never before seen "Behind the Scenes" video footage taking you on an exclusive journey with the band from their first reunion rehearsals… to watching the band from behind the curtain as they get ready for the historic 1st reunion show… to their 1st live performance in over 30 years of “I Wanna Be With You†recorded at The House Of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio!

• Never before seen one on one interviews with each band member from the VH1 Classic “Hangin’ With†sessions!

• A rare audio recording from the original masters of a 1973 Armed Forces Radio Network concert and interview from Germany, featuring the previously unreleased “Raspberry Jamâ€! Audio remastered by Mark Linett. Also, you’ll now be able to watch rare home movies shot by Jim Bonfanti during the band’s European and US tours and see behind the scenes footage from The Record Plant studio in NYC while the band was recording their classic “Side 3†album - all while you listen to this concert!

thx for the list - it didnt occur to me to look back to the original list on raspberriesonline.com, where i see it is now posted. very cool features, tho' it still strikes me that a copy of 'tonight' (the book) is conspicuously missing. otherwise this is some great stuff to look fwd to, esp JB's home movies & the other behind-the-scenes footage

i sure couldn't've seen this coming 30+ years ago, as i forced my neighborhood friend, joey, to dig on my raspberries cassette tape w/ me!

To Cozmik, and anyone else who may be concerned about the quality of this and future downloads:

The intent of these downloads is that they be viewed on your PC or Mac. The quality is acceptable when viewing on Quicktime, but - by design - when you try to watch it thru any other format such as by burning a DVD, watching it on a TV, enlarging the quicktime screen, etc. you will not have great quality video.

While we are trying to give you a special feature with these downloads, we also know that there is a risk of someone abusing this feature, so by formatting these downloads for Quicktime viewing we hope to discourage any illegal sharing / reproduction / bootlegging / duplication / appearances on You Tube, etc.

These downloads are some of the "extra" features included with the purchaes of the "Special Edition" and, again, are of a lower resolution by design.

The video features on the Special Edition DVD are overall great quality - I don't think you'll be disappointed at all in the quality of the DVD, but maybe Eric, Billy, Ernie, Bernie and Kathy can give you their opinion on that better than I.

Thanks,

Al

Thanks Al. I understand and guessed as much but was hoping it would look a little better at full screen on the P.C. On further consideration, its not that bad. So excuse my gripe before.

On a brighter comment, that moment just before the drum break where Jim gives that look at the camera is priceless!
