Not sold out?

It's 1:30 and from the looks of it, there are still general admission tickets available...how did that happen?! My dad and I were posted in front of the computer at 9:30 hitting the "Refresh" button repeatedly and getting nervous because my dad's old bones may be too slow to claim them in time! Also, I may have a spare general admission ticket later because I'd rather go to this alone. Were there many cops around the House of Blues on the 26th?

definitely DO NOT walk the streets alone at night, we walked to and from the HOB (stayed at the Renaissance), and it was scary at 1 AM, and my husband was with me, if I was alone I think I've had taken a taxi. Police are in the city, sure, but what are the chances they'll be in the right place at the right time if you need them? There were a lot of beggars around, even at 1 AM, there were people staggering around intoxicated, and from what I saw, I'm guessing the police there don't give this sort of thing top priority. I would absolutely not walk around alone. arrgh

The area seemed safe to me... but I am 6-1 and don't look like an inviting target... but in any city I wouldn't go off the beaten path. Partnering up is a good idea. Crime Prevention is a lot better than trying to figure your way out of a bad situation.

It may be a little worse with New Years and a number of intoxicated people out. Whether you're staying nearby or parking miles away... have some people walk with you.

As far as the club... at the last concert people were there to watch the show. Yes, there is alcohol. But people are there for a show. I have no doubt if anyone is a problem they'll get the boot. At the Raspberries show it is a pretty safe crowd. There could be worse places for a 17 year old to be.

we stayed at the Renaissance also, and the doors

on the square were LOCKED after the show. There were

alot of pan-handlers out, and no police in sight. we had to walk around the corner to the Superior side to get in. I would not suggest walking alone.I was approached twice for money, and Im a rather large man. Just some friendly advice.
