wimvriezen
Congratulations to you first Bernie with the counter of 800000 hits on the Ericcarmen.com
kazumi
Wow! It's 800,020 now. Congratulations, Bernie and Eric! Kazumi
mymooladi
We certainly have had a lot to celebrate around here. When I checked the counter it was 800,085 hits. I still remember when we were waiting for our first 1,000 hits here, and that seems like forever. This message board has certainly gone beyond my wildest dreams. Bernie you have sure done Eric proud here. Only the best was good enough for Eric, nothing less. I thank you for that.Eric Congratulations on over 800,000 hits. Take a moment and feel the love! This is all for you.June
Gene
Now, if each of those hitters will go out and buy the next Raspberries CD....
Tony Cartmill
How about a special message from Eric Carmen, like he used to do when Bernie's site would hit a milestone?
Tiggsherby
Better start thinking about a good prize for that 1,000,000th hit. Depending on how plans progress with "the" tour, it could happen soon!
darlene
Congratulations!!!! Cheers! (800,000 of them!) "Haven't We Come A Long Way, Baby?"! "I Can Remember" when the "labour of love" was just a tiny little infant! Look at us now! Over 535 members, a Reunion Concert, two more shows since then, and several more to come, with a whole tour in the offing! This website is "the little engine that could" for sure! A testament to the fact that "ANYTHING is possible" and "NOTHING is impossible" if you believe, and love, enough! --Darlene
Tony Cartmill
Has Bernie created an 800,000 pound gorilla? Better alert the Empire State Building.I'm starting to aquire the logic of a Carmen Smalley or Gord Harris... Trindy
Tony, Tony, Tony...are you telling us that Alan "Undercover Angel" O'Day wrote "Angie Baby"?Boy, that's scary. O'Day must like writing songs about, uh, ghostly lovers or something.
marvin
The one and the same Alan O'Day.Marvinp.s. Stop picking on Gord. Has anyone wondered why he hasn't been around for awhile? I'll give you one guess.
Tony Cartmill
Got to give the man his due. Alan is not a "One Hit Wonder" as a writer. Whatever happened to him anyway?Gord told me he had to quit his internet for a while, but he never replied back as to why or how long. Maybe he had to go back to the mothership and do some work on his planet for a few weeks or bleems as they call it there...
Tony Cartmill
O'Day also co-wrote "Rock and Roll Heaven" for The Righteous Brothers.
marvin
The internet reason was only part of the reason why Gord left. The other reason was the same as why I left a couple of months back.Marvin
kazumi
Why? He didn't hurt anybody. I miss him so much.Kazumi
marlene
I was wondering why I hadn't seen Gord lately. Gord, if you're lurking, come back ! We miss you. Marlene
Raspbernie
Gord's a good guy and seemed to really have fun here :-) I'm hoping he'll come back ASAP.BerniePS: And what's up with all of the drama around here? If anyone gets on your nerves via taunts in posts or unsolicited e-mails, simply look the other way. Remember the reason you came here in the first place? The music, right? Well, that'll always be around. And there's sure to be a large number of people here still savoring it and talking about it no matter what other subject is discussed. My two cents. And if you don't like it, I'm leaving this forum forever! C'mon, lighten up—I'm just kidding. If Popdude and I can get along, can't we all just get along? :-)
smittie
Hey Gord, If you still read the board, just wanted to say that I for one miss your posts and hope you will post again soon! You were always very gracious toward everyone, even though you have been unable to attend the shows! I admire you for your postivie attitude and ability to be happy for others. Don't let anyone get you down, if they are giving you a hard time, they are the one with the problem. Don't let them keep you away!Hope all is well!! kazumi
I agree with you,Smittie. His posts always make me smile. We all have different point of view and that's why it's interesting to know each other. This is not a place to complain others. This is a place to share our love of music. Gord, I hope you come back soon!Kazumi
mymooladi
Gord, I have not been able to follow the boards to well lately, but I have to agree with Bernie, Julie R. and Kazumi. I hate to think your feelings have been hurt here, this was supposed to be your (our) fun place. Don't let someone else have control over you, as long as Bernie is around you will always be welcomed here and I am grateful for that. I hope you listen to your own advice that you gave to Marvin and come back.June
darlene
Gord, I hope the reason you've left for awhile has nothing to do with what someone said to you. You are a VERY valued member of this board, and a very important person! We all love you! You know how things can get here. PLEASE come back! If I get a nasty comment from someone, I just think, "Some people's CHILDREN!" and let it go at that. Please do the same. Don't want you to be gone. I'm sad without you. --Darlene
marvin
By the way Gord has cancelled his Internet service so it's unlikely he'll see any of these messages. I sent him a letter (the old-fashioned way) a few days ago and relayed everyone's concerns.Marvin
Raspbernie
Well, that *is* sad then :-( Gord wil be missed. I'm glad you relayed our "group hug" to him, Marvin.Bernie
