Not that I don't Love the Stones, but I don't know that I would have shelled out the clams to see them again. Now the Raspberries on the other hand.... marvin
I only saw four concerts in 2005, so my list is pretty easy:1. Raspberries - 2nd show in NYC2. Raspberries - January 15th, Chicago3. Raspberries - 1st show in NYCand although technically the show started in 2004...4. Raspberries - December 31st, ClevelandMarv
raspberrywine
Couldnt agree more Julesberry. Id go see the Raspberries if they were playing on Mars. Regarding Stones, Keith Richards is certainly worth the price of admission.(I wish Bill Wyman was still in the group. Ofcourse I wish Brian Jones was still in the group.) My favorite concert of the year was, undoubtedly, Raspberries, NYC. I thought the building might fall down the energy was so intense in that room that night. Plus BB Kings brought food and booze to the table which sustained me in my dancing mania. Definitely the best of 05, superlative performance on all fronts. ira
(1)-Raspberries Chicago-because of the thrill of losing my musical virginity-My first time EVER seeing Raspberries or Eric Carmen live!(2)-Raspberries BB King's NYC-because they were great and because BB King's is a great venue.(3)-Raspberries HOB Atlantic City because I talked at length with the very nice Billy Sullivan and my wife joined me and learned what all the fuss was about.(4)-Kenny Vance And The Planetones and The Duprees -Forum Theater-Metuchen N.J.- because you just gotta see Kenny Vance-ex of Jay And The Americans, overseer and producer of music on Eddie And The Cruisers soundtrack-and his group do the coolest, bluesiest, renditions of Doo-Wop and R&B in tremendous style and harmony. And The Duprees because the songs "Have You Heard" and "You Belong To Me" ARE My childhood at it's best.-Ira. KC
1. Raspberries New Years, Cleveland HOB (Mrs. C. was hesitant to travel to Cleveland for the second time in 5 weeks, but her front row center position turned her into one of the new big fans.)2. Raspberries Atlantic City Sound Check (It was kind of like a concert. Great event, a must attend if we ever get invited to another one.) 3. Raspberries Atlantic City HOB (Best sound)4. Raspberries Chicago HOB (Cold night, still reeling from three Raspberries concerts in 8 weeks)5. Raspberries, Waukesha (Great fun, more like a party than a concert.)6. John Fogerty, Milwaukee Summerfest (WOW! What a show!)7. Mae, Chicago HOB (New “Alternative†band my daughter turned me on to. Check them out, some great pop-rock, leaning towards power-pop.)8. Tequila Sunrise Cleveland HOB (Fun crowd, fun band)9. Raspberries Cleveland Scene (Sorry, bad sound, bad seats, great music) From my “I want my money back†concert list:1. James Taylor, Milwaukee Summerfest (I had seen him years ago when he put on a great show, this was a dull show.) KC
