AutumnRain
Yes, yes...I know...public transportation. But seriously - what is the parking situation like around the HOB? Anybody know the cost and availability of parking nearby?
Classics99
There is a public parking garage almopst directly across the street from the HOB on Euclid that costs $5.00 to park. It is a worker's commuter garage so parking before 5 or 5:30 might be crowded. They also have valet parking directly in front of the HOB (there is a roped off curb lane)...cost unknown. Also has valet parking on East 4th street (where the entrance to the restaurant is located) at Pickwick and Frolic directly across the street from the restaurant entrance. Cost $5.00. East 4th is one way only from Prospect to Euclid Ave.) Again, if the restaurant is full Pickwick and Frolic is a great restaurant with a superb martini bar in the basement. VIVO restaurant ($$$) is directly across the street.
Argee
Well I think I may use the valet parking. I think they are having the Xmas tree lighting on Public Square Friday night and HOB borders that. May be a tight squeeze for parking. JumpMan
The Holiday lighting and parade is Saturday, Nov. 27th. See the following-Festive sights will surround Public Square at the 21st Annual Winterfest Lighting Ceremony. Santa will lead the crowds in a holiday sing-a-long. He and his elves will illuminate the brilliant light displays and sculptures throughout the Square, and then introduce a spectacular parade with 50 vintage horse-drawn carriages, glowing with lanterns and twinkling lights. From stately and magnificent Clydesdales to adorable miniatures, every color and size of horse will make a memorable trip through the heart of the city, proudly wearing their best holiday attire. Many carriages will feature special celebrity guests. The night will culminate in the traditional holiday fireworks display. The parade will enter Public Square via Ontario and head south to Tower City. It will then proceed north along the western edge of Public Square, making a left turn on Frankfort. The parade will then head north on W. 3rd, returning to the Convention Center.
Argee
Thanks for that info Jump Man. I had the thought of 80k people in downtown Cleve right alongside the HOB and parking being a bear.
