  1. Do you still have the signed copy of "Marathon Man"?
  2. With former Red Sox Lester, Lackey, Ross and Theo Epstein now with the Cubs, and Tito Francona, Napoli, Coco Crisp and Miller now with the Indians, it is too hard for this former Bostonian to choose. "for once in my life I'm gonna do what I think is right"
  3. Happy Birthday, Eric You have brought so much joy into the world. Keep writing and singing, no matter what! P.S. thank you Bernie "For once in my life, I'm going to do what I think is right...I think I found myself."
  4. Happy Hanukkah to all! May the next 8 days be filled with light, love and family. " For once in my lifeI'm gonna do what I think is rightI think I found myself "
  5. Is there an Eric Carmen Foundation? Perhaps one that awards music scholarships to the Cleveland Institute?
  6. Dear Eric, L'Shanah Tova, Happy New Year. "For once in my life...I think I've found myself"
  7. Way, way back in the day, the Boston Symphony Orchestra had a conductor named Arthur Feidler. He wanted more people to enjoy the classics, so he started free summer outdoor concerts called the Pops. He played popular music and then snuck in some classical pieces. When I listen to many of Eric's songs, I think about how he "educated" us in classical music while entertaining us with his wonderful songs. Any chance Eric will write a new Rock Opera or Rock Symphony? "For once in my life, I'm gonna do what I think is right...I think I found myself"
  8. GATW-- I hope you enjoy reading Marathon Man, it is so informative about the rock music business as well as being a great biography of Eric.
  9. I am continually amazed that the sound track of my life has been playing since the 70's. Every song of Eric's is new to me. Today I reveled in "I Think I Found Myself". Imagine that, at my age finally figuring out who I am! Thank you Eric, you speak to me.
  10. For once in my lifeI'm gonna do what I think is rightI think I found myself
  11. Happy Birthday, Eric. Thank you for all the joy you bring to our lives.
  12. OMG, I just hear "Desperate Fools" for the first time. In the 2000's I took what should have been a dream job for me in Miami, far from Boston, MA, my home. As it tuned out "the games that I played were not worth what I paid" I went from the height of my profession to the lowest depths, I had no idea people could lie so easily. When I realized that I was beginning to be what they wanted me to be, I left for California for a few years. I finally became myself again and returned to my profession. I so wished I had this song back then, what an incredible songwriter/artist. Eric Carmen has touched all the days of my life, without me even knowing.
  13. I am Eric's age, but never really heard a lot of his music. I went to parochial school, and the good sisters kept the lust driven "Raspberries" off of our approved listening lists. Last year, after enduring a few horrible years, I first heard "Brand New Year". As Roberta Flack once said "he was singing my life with his words". Since then I have listened to every Raspberries song I can get, and am now downloading every Eric Carmen song from iTunes. I am so glad that I found the musical score to my entire life.
