  1. The Colts and Ravens had more conference wins that the Pats.

The Pats were 7-5 in conference wins while the Ravens were at 8 -4 and the Colts were 12-2.

I have to agree with LC 's quote regarding the geographical divisions. "It's the right way to do it, even if it seems odd."

  2. Kathy,

    Annie is in my prayers.

I also want to share with you some wonderful advice I have received over the years.

    1. The Christmas shopping - One day I was complaining to my girlfriend about being pressed for time. She looked at me and said " You are the best gift you can give to your family and friends." She said "that I rather have the gift of you as a friend rather than a gift from you.

    2. The Christmas tree - I used to always buy a live tree, then we have to string the lights..sigh.. Last year, I bought an artificial tree complete with the lights attached. It might not be beautiful to some people, but to me, it is a real time saver.

    3. Cleaning and decorating the house - One day, I was moaning to my sister-in-law about cleaning the house and being pressed for time. She simply said, "Be thankful you have a house." She had lost her house earlier that year during Hurricane Andrew.

    4. Holiday baking and cooking- This too pressed for time, then one day, I decided that we really don't need all those cookies. Eating all of those cookies are not healthy, so now I serve fruit. So if you come to my house during the holidays, you get a fruit salad and some dark chocolate candy. Preparing a fruit salad takes way less time for me than doing all of that baking.

    5. Dealing with the family issues - That is something that we all have to bear at one time or another. I used to let things like that bother me, then one day, my wonderful friend just simply said" There are things we cannot control, we have to accept it as is, but we can pray and ask God to please give us the strength to deal whatever comes our way."

As my friend, I just want you to be happy. I realize that sometimes it is tough, but having you as a friend is priceless!

  3. Shelley,

I know I am getting off track here...but if you decide to go vegan, please get a nutritionist.

My daughter did the vegan thing for two years. During that time, her iron level dropped dangerously low. Today, she is still recovering, her doctor has her on iron and vitamin supplements, and she has to eat red meat and two eggs daily.

For me, I like dairy products...especially milk! I read not too long ago, that when you drink milk after working out, it helps build more muscle mass and can turn your body into one lean, muscle machine. The milk I get comes from the local dairy. It is antibotic and hormone free.

  4. James,

Your post is so loving and heart-felt! I share your thoughts.

    Marvin,

I love your Meaning of Christmas! It is beautiful!

Darlene, you are so right, this is a beautiful thread for not only for Christmas but for every day!

And in the words of Rick Warren ...We can agree to disagree and still be friends!

    Merry Christmas everyone santa
