  1. Looking good! A great start for the week! I'm glad I got up early to be the first to catch you posting another photo from that collection you have! Thanks, Bernie!
  2. In this countdown of 2011 songs, at #7 the writer compares The Raspberries' "Tonight" with the Pitbull song "Give Me Everything": Tonight might have been an influence - similar song meaning, and the chorus has the same repetition and emphasis on the word "Tonight": Tonight, I will love love you, tonight Give me everything, tonight For all we know we might not get tomorrow Let's do it, tonight I will love love you, tonight Give me everything, tonight For all we know we might not get tomorrow Lets do it, tonight
  3. I just read on another thread that "I Was Born to Love You" makes you cry. I didn't know what the song had meant to you when I posted it above, since you had listed it as your favorite. Hopefully, it made you happy to see my post, since that was my intention.
  4. Since your favorite Eric song is listed as "The Way We Used to Be", I will share one of the posts of this song from Youtube in honor of your birthday:
  5. Sending best wishes your way - Hartelijk gefeliciteerd met Uw verjaardag
  6. Compiling these statistics may have been a lot of work for Les, but I found it very interesting to read. I wonder how the songs have moved around in the stats over the past two-three years.
  7. Nice background music, the piano version of the song "Mad World". Ben's video leaves me too emotional and speechless, so I'll post a youtube video showing Gary Jules introducing Curt Smith from Tears for Fears as "to come and play with me for the first time ever."
  8. Bernie, I missed that one! I wish I had thought of clicking on every package, but I was in a rush.
  9. Nice picture, Bernie. When I read your post saying 1978 and "Change of Heart", I just had to re-post this broadcast from that year of the Alan Hamel Show with Eric singing that song (along with ABM and NGFILA):
  10. What a great day for a birthday! The start of a new year of your life while celebrations occur all around the world. I wish you a very Happy Birthday!
  11. To a sweet Eric Carmen fan - hope your birthday is filled with fun!
  12. I remembered the joy I had last year (my favorite presents), so I made sure to check out ericcarmen.com on Christmas Day. Next year I will remember to keep checking since I didn't find all the songs! Great sound! I really loved the version you posted of "I Wanna Hear It From Your Lips". Thank you Bernie, for all the Christmas presents.
  13. A fitting description "power ballad" (for both of the classic songs the article mentions, Eric's ABM and Nilsson's famous cover of Badfinger's "Without You".)
  14. It's nice to see whenever a current article mentions Eric and to read that a famous comic strip artist is a fan of Eric's. Thanks for posting.
  15. I want to wish you a belated Happy Birthday!
  16. Since admin did not post a "Happy Birthday" greeting for you perhaps you want to keep it private, but in case your account is not set up properly, I will wish you a belated "Happy Birthday"!
  17. A belated Happy Birthday to you! Since your birthday falls on Christmas this is the perfect cake for you:
  18. Congratulations - sometimes good work gets rewarded, with a choice of song that has meaning to many. This sensational song was a hit single, with some Beach Boys doing backup (on this song, as well as others of Eric's).
  19. Exciting! Here are excerpts from the site posted above: Brian Wilson: ". . . I miss the boys and it will be a thrill for me to make a new record and be on stage with them again." Mike Love: ". . . Wouldn't It Be Nice to Do It Again? Absolutely!" Al Jardine: ". . . honored to sing the praises of California" Bruce Johnston: ". . . imagine what we all could come up with vocally in a recording studio atmosphere under Brian's musical direction." David Marks: ". . . we can all reunite and pay tribute to the fans who have kept the music alive."
  20. Hope you enjoy your birthday, Bahoo Dore!
  21. Definitely for me it's listening to any song by Eric Carmen or the Raspberries!
  22. Even though I love the extended version of "Everything", I've always felt that Keith Barbour's cover doesn't emit the same thought-provoking mood that Eric gives. However Keith's version is better than the live Guns N Roses version that is posted.
