  4. My Mom used to make a hamburger dressing and stuff the turkey with it...it was awesome, when I got married and had kids I tried doing the same....My Hubby and sons revolted. They wanted "Stove top"...so from then on "Stove top", has been our dressing every year..I bake it in a casserole dish Thanks Giving is not really a good time of year for me. My Dad passed away on November 26,2006..just a few days after Thanks Giving. I fed him his last Thanks Giving dinner I miss him so much, so I am melancholy during the holiday
  5. What a shame, He was my favorite CHIP. your right GMan, he didn't do much after CHIP'S,I do recall he was arrested quite a few years ago for domestic violence, I don't think anything ever came out of it.

  9. WENDY..RECIPE PLEASE John, thats very similar to the "gravy" I make, My Italian sister in law gave me the recipe...alot of times I leave out the meat
  10. Tonight for me will be a baked potato with steamed spinach Hubby and Son will be having grilled hotdogs and beans with coleslaw..

Elle, we have been to her Restaurant in Savannah too, we also visited her brothers restaurant.."Uncle Bubbas" we went into her store beside the restaurant, and were browsing, I saw a guy that looked like her son Bobby, I went up and asked him if he was Bobby Deen, turned out he was Bubbas son..He looks alot like Bobby. we told him that we had visited his Dads restaurant, and how great it was(the seafood was to die for)..He was very nice. I love Paula Deen, I have adapted many of her recipes, but like you during the holidays there is nothing like butter
  12. Hubby had a torn rotator cuff, he had shots for awhile, but ended up having surgery...Have you been checked for a torn rotator cuff? he could never sleep at night until he had the surgery

If you guys like cornbread.try Paula Deens Corn casserole..My Family goes nuts when I make it...its a MUST at our Holiday Dinners Paula Deens Corn Casserole 1 (15 1/4-ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained 1 (14 3/4-ounce) can cream-style corn 1 (8-ounce) package corn muffin mix (recommended: Jiffy) 1 cup sour cream 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, stir together the 2 cans of corn, corn muffin mix, sour cream, and melted butter. Pour into a greased 9 by 13-inch casserole dish. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and top with Cheddar. Return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Let stand for at least 5 minutes and then serve warm.
