  1. Performance of Jessie's Girl from "The Song" that ran on the Circle network.
  2. That Thing You Do! is my favorite movie of all time! I pretty much lost interest in pop music after 1989, but I have heard some newer acts on "Little Steven's Underground Garage" on the satellite radio that I really like such as the Connection, Kurt Baker, the Dollyrots, and Soraia.
  3. OK, I'll bite... 1. Martha 2. Mary Ann 3. Pam 4. Chrissy 5. I know these two are from Gomer Pyle USMC, but I can't remember either one. 6. Don't know who these are. 7. Mrs. Partridge 8. Peg 9. Miss Jane Angelica Thrift (a/k/a Wrangler Jane) 10. Lori
  4. Agreed, but the guy says that Eric is in the R&R HOF.
  5. 5. Reason to Try 4. Haven't We Come a Long Way 3. End of the World 2. Sleep With Me 1. SPOTLIGHT
  6. Ran across this a few minutes ago:
  7. I Reach For the Light (as well as Penny Lane) had a piccolo trumpet in it, not a fluegelhorn. I apologize for nit-picking. I agree with Kirk's list except I would flip 3 and 4, 7 and 8, and 9 and 10.
  8. You'll have to start calling people pencil-necked geeks now.
  9. Before I even scrolled down, I thought "I'll bet Nickelback is #1 on the list!" And I'm in agreement with Pat on this.
  10. I had to laugh out loud at the Cage hands in the illustration Susie posted! And Darlene's post - wow! I teach music history, but I could never write anything anywhere near that good! I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy! I didn't see Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky mentioned yet. That's the first classical record I ever bought. I think my favorite composers are Bach and Debussy and my favorite stylistic era is the Baroque.
  11. The reviewer has a lot of lyrics wrong. And WTF is "mooncalves"?
  12. The caption for the above photo: "This is what happens when you set the flux capacitor to 2020"
  13. I'd like to add to this list: Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser of Blue Oyster Cult and Brian May of Queen. Not rock and roll, but one day a few months ago I was channel surfing and saw Brad Paisley in concert. Not sure why I kept watching, probably because he's from WV and also the insurance commercials with Peyton Manning. In most country acts, the singer holds an acoustic guitar and someone else plays the solos. But in this concert, Brad himself also plays electric guitar and played the lead guitar solo in the song I saw. I was impressed with how he played, totally unexpected, it was really, really good!
  14. I agree with all on that list except "Rock the Boat" - I always liked the funky licks in the horns in the fade of that tune. Yeah, I'd put Elvira in there too. Hate that song.
  15. There's a Glass Onion just below the top left corner.
  16. The Octopus' Garden is rather obvious. To the northeast is Maxwell's Silver Hammer.
