I saw on VH1 that Todd Rundgren has joined the Cars (essentially replacing Rick Ocasek, Benjamin Orr passed away)and the band s touring as "the New cars." At first I didn't think it made a whole lot of sense, than I heard a clip of him singing "Just What I Needed" and it was amazing! I have always loved the Cars because I thought they were essentially a pop band disguised as a new wave act to look "hip" at the time they came out. Todd Rundgren is a super chameleon (David Bowie type) who has put out for me some good power pop on occasion and been a good producer (I think he did a Badfinger album)and I see this as being a good fit. They are touring with Blondie. What do you guys think?
