  1. We got our tickets last week. Lew, will you be there?
  2. I know you wanted something hot for your birthday, but today's temperatures are really going a bit too far Hope it's a good one filled with lots of air conditioning
  3. Ditto for me. Had no breathing problems until a few years ago. It felt like there was a 500 pound gorilla sitting on my chest. Usually I only had breathing problems in the winter. A few weeks ago I had what I can only guess was an asthma attack. Was picking up some dry cleaning & was having difficulty breathing on the walk back home. (I love when doctors ask if I have asthma. Hey, you're the doctor, how the hell should I know?) I have enough drugs to claim Rite Aid as a dependent on my tax return -- zyrtec, nasonex, advair, singulair, & albuterol as needed. Don't know if anybody else is experiencing this, but over the last few years I've been having a couple of ear infections a year. (Never had them as a kid.) One was so bad that my ear was totally closed up that they had to put a tube in so the drops could get in.
  4. Wishing New Zealand's most precious lady a birthday that is as warm and wonderful as she is. Sue
  5. Adrienne & Ernie, I am so sorry for your loss. May knowing that so many people care bring you comfort and help to heal your hearts. Sue
  6. We Are the Nowtones - Blotto One Night Stand - Partridge Family Piano Man - Silly Joel
  7. Since you're limiting it to only two The Load Out - Jackson Browne We're an American Band - Grand Funk Railroad
  8. Jennifer, Hope you have a very happy birthday. Sue
  9. Thanks Billy. I wouldn't want you making a special trip though. From what I understand Munkascz used to be part of Hungary but when my father was born it was considered Czechoslovakia. Before my father got sick he discussed taking a trip there with my sister. He had not been back since the war.
  10. Billy, have you ever been to Mukachevo (also known as Munkascz)? My father is from there.
  11. OMG! ROTFLMAO on the "Do It Yourself Fiancee Kit!" Is that what they're calling a blow up doll these days?
  12. Guess those Ukraine girls really knock him out.
  13. And here I thought people who lit farts were a few fries short of a Happy Meal.
  14. Good to see you back. Hope you have an easy, pain free, and complete recovery.
  15. Speaking from experience, if you're able to go, GO! I have a few friends who are no longer with us. In each case the parents have told me how much it has meant for them to stay in touch with their child's friends. My deepest sympathies to the family.
  16. Husband has a Sunday plan at Shea. When can you get here?
  17. Happy Birthday to one of the sweetest guys around!
  18. Muzza, continued good wishes being sent Chanelle's way. So glad the tests have come back clear. Here's hoping for her complete & speedy recovery. Sue
  19. Another sad day in rock n' roll. Danny Federici of the E Street Band passed away this afternoon at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City
  20. Nah! Our people were forced to wander in the desert 40 years because Moses, being a typical man, wouldn't ask for directions.
  21. Ted, Since you used to live in Connecticut, "In the Still of the Night" was consistently voted the #1 song by CBS-FM's listeners when the station would compile its Top 500 Weekend. Of course now the station wants/needs a younger demo to attract advertisers, and doo wop has been eliminated from the station's playlist. The only time you'll hear it is if Don K. Reed or Norm N. Nite host the Sunday night "NY Radio Greats" show. Sue
  22. Ira, With Passover just around the corner, I'm sure there's a reason you specifically asked 4 Questions; not 3, not 5, but four. The answer is "we were slaves to Pharoah in Egypt; now we are free." Signed, Ma Nishtanah
  23. When "Rescue Me" came out, I would have sworn it was Aretha Franklin singing.
