  7. Happy Birthday. All the best on your special day.
  8. Thanks so much for posting this! My husband's a chart geek & has the Hot 100 chart books, but I think he'll get a kick out of reading the rest of the mag. For me, Vox Jox was my favorite part of the magazine.
  9. That's well known Raspberries fan and disc jockey Dennis Elsas standing next to the guy in the red tie. I'm the one leaning on the crutches. My husband Steve is the guy in the light blue shirt standing next to me.
  10. Sigh! My husband was going to get us tickets as my birthday present. (How cool would it be to have McCartney sing "Birthday" ON your birthday!) Unfortunately I don't think my knee would hold up to all the walking (stress fracture & am still on crutches). My sister was at the Shea Stadium concert. I was jealous as hell. Took me 25 years, but I finally got to see him at MSG. My seats were so high up (about 4 rows from the top), that I jokingly referred to him as "the singing dot from Liverpool." It was worth the wait. The show was WONDERFUL! Saw him again at Giants Stadium. Another great show! Hearing "Can't Buy Me Love" live with 50,000 other fans singing & dancing along was truly a memory for a lifetime. To those going, have a wonderful time. Hope you have great weather & we want a full report.
  11. Amen! Kathy Lee, I looked at your photos & it looks like there's a lot of love in your house. Enjoy this special event. May you & your family continue to celebrate many happy occasions.
  12. Happy Birthday Marilyn. Hope you have a fantastic day.

  14. So sorry I won't be able to make it. I have a knee injury and am in a knee stabilizer & on crutches. Have a great time everybody!
  15. Dear Muzza & Kiwi, So glad you're enjoying your trip & that everyone's taking such good care of you. I'm so sorry I won't be able to see you this time around. A knee injury has me in a torture device (am told the medical term for it is a 'knee stabilizer') & on crutches. Have lots of fun & enjoy the rest of your stay in the USA. Sue

  19. If Lew dies is there really a reason for any of us to go on living?
  20. I'm sure your friend told you that "shmuck" is not a Hebrew word. It is Yiddish. While both Yiddish & Hebrew use the same alphabet, they are two totally separate languages. Yiddish vs. Hebrew
  21. Ronnie Spector's guest duet with Southside Johnny on You Mean So Much to Me on "I Don't Want to Go Home." Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen & Steve Van Zandt guesting on Southside's "Better Days." Linda Ronstadt guesting on Warren Zevon's "Excitable Boy." James Taylor guesting on Carole King's "Tapestry." ... and the winner for the greatest guest appearance by a non-singer, non-musician in the history of rock n' roll ... Phil Rizzuto on "Paradise by the Dashboard Light."
  22. Sad to hear on the radio yesterday that Estelle Bennett (Ronnie Spector's sister) of the Ronettes had passed. Estelle Bennett Obit

  24. I'm amazed that I can recite something I had to memorize in third grade, but can't remember where I left my glasses 30 seconds ago.
