    There are several radio stations in the area that offer gift certificates at half price. They vary from local restaurants to salons to day spas to golf packages, etc. They are usually $50.00 certificates for $25.00 and if they aren't sold out in a certain amount of time they reduce them even more! Great Deals.

    The fireworks are shot off an island on the lake behind our house, so we're going over to the next door neighbors house for their annual bbq and will watch the fireworks from there. We're taking the train to Chicago on Saturday for a mini vacation, returning on Sunday. Then we're on vacation until the 14th just hanging out at home relaxing and working on a couple of home improvement projects, topping it off with a Brewer's game near the end. 2 hours til freedom !

    We put in a REALLY big garden this year. Tomatoes, beans, peas, corn, radishes, carrots, lettuce, peppers, squash, green and red cabbage, brocolli, cucumbers, watermelon, canteloupe, cilantro, rosemary, chives and parsley. It's going to pay off REALLY big this year for sure.
