MJ, The blonde guy on the mellotron was Scott McCarl, the Raspberries bass player at the time. The song was "Starting Over" and Wally Bryson played the bass on that song.

I can remember Dennis Elsas on WNEW-FM in the early 70's playing the intro to Paul McCartney's song "Smile Away" from the Ram album which he segued into "Go All the Way" by Raspberries. Some people thought it was a new McCartney song at the time. I have that somewhere in my tape archives. That was the first time that I heard Raspberries, and I was floored. "Great Memories." Any other similar stories??

This was great music. Edgar Winter, Dan Hartman, Rick Derringer -- massive talents!!! I saw The EWG with Rick Derringer in the 70's. Awesome show!!! I have also seen Rick Derringer as a solo artist, many, many times. Pick up his new live DVD, It is very good. Also,if you can find the CD for his album,Guitars and Woman from 1979. Great pop music. 2 songs by Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick. The album also features Neil Geraldo, Pat Benatar's guitarist and husband.
