  1. Happy Birthday , my friend...Have a great week!
  2. Wendy, Great picture....My Dad was there also, and NEVER talked about it, until he was dying in '04.I always asked him about the Invasion, but he never said a word.
  3. I always loved this song..The "Harrison-esque" guitar at 2:15,and at the bridge when the vocal repeats the opening guitar lick, I always thought this was a masterpiece. The cut on my album is WHITE from playing the track so often.
  4. I still have crates full of my 45's...Im going to have to dig them out, and see what the earliest stereo 45 is in my collection.I have a few with TWO songs on each side..does anyone remember those?
  5. That was one of My Father's favorite movies also. He would watch it every time it was on TV. So it is very hard for me to watch, since Dad is no longer here, but I agree, it was a very very good movie.(GREAT MOVIE, in my top 5 Favorites) Filmed here at the old Mansfield Reformatory, About 25 Miles South of Cleveland, in Mansfield Ohio,(now closed).
  6. One radio personality calls Cleveland "The armpit of the Midwest" so true...
  7. Someone sent that to me a couple months ago..A "former" Clevelander...Come to South Euclid, where I live...there are 8 houses, in the block, across the street from me, and SIX are empty. And EVERY day when I come home from work, I pick up Burger King Bags, and Soda Bottles off my lawn...Its terrible here.
  8. I think about the "age thing" ...Im doing more, now,at my age...then when I was younger.I see people who are younger, who look and act much older than myself.I've been told many times, "I dont look my age", and to tell you the truth, I only act my age when I have to...Funny story. When Jesse Bryson was in High School, I set myself up to jam with him at a blues jam nite, he saw his Father, the next day, and told him, "I played with this older dude , and he just tore the place up".Well his Father responded "Yep, I know him"
  9. James, That was the same show, they opened with "Grow Some Funk Of Your Own" and Kiki Dee was there to sing "Don't Go Breakin My Heart'. We were 2 rows up from Elton's Piano...Incredible.
  10. One other great one I wanted to mention: Elton John, Richfield Coliseum..."Captain Fantastic .." Tour.(1976-77?)My Cousin Frankie got the tics, and I was pissed that they were BEHIND the stage...But,When we got to our seats, we were practically sitting on Elton's piano bench! What a show!
  11. I raised 2 girls on my own...One is 26, and the other is now 20. Hence, the reason i have "thinning hair"....Just wait, my friend, you will see.......
  12. 1)Van Halen at Music Hall, opened for Black Sabbath, and blew them off the stage.I was in the fourth row. 2)Kiss "Alive 2" at the Richfield Colisseum.Artful Dodger opened 3)Whitesnake at Public Hall, Vivian Campbell, Adrian Vandenberg, Rudy Sarzo, and Tommy Aldridge.Great lineup 4)Rush, Saw every Cleveland show from Chanel High School(1973) on , except for "Snakes And Arrows"(2007) 5) Raspberries at the State Theatre. The emotional high, as well as probably the best sound (acoustically) I have ever experienced.
  13. I would LOVE to have that Strat....sad thing is I HAD 2 natural, blackface Strats, a '74, and a '75....$$$$ Now....
  14. I should NEVER have sold the "Schon" guitar I had...Damm!

  16. Homemade Sausage, and HOT peppers canned from the garden last year...Oh its gonna be a "rough" nite!! And yes John...it IS the best!
  17. Sausage and Peppers here...
  18. Thanks to all....It was a suicide, which makes things all that much harder. And the fact, there is a sick child involved....oh and My Friend is legally blind, and has a hard time taking care of himself...THIS is a tough one....
  19. If any Clevelanders remember the Eros Theatre on Prospect, during the 70's, she was a 'regular" there. A bunch of us "youngsters" at the time , saw her "performances"...
  20. A very good friend of mine, and fellow Blues musician/bandmate lost his only Daughter on Friday. It was a total shock, for me also.
