  1. I thought there might be some fans of his here. Anyway, the songs were released last November according to that obscure website Wikipedia. The songs aren't for sale on iTunes or Amazon in the USA. I bought them from eMusic.com. To me they sound like something from the late 1970's or early 1980's. If you're not familiar with his music, check some of it out!
  2. I just bought this! I think it's great that this is available again, especially in formats not requiring an e-reader. I was inspired to write this silly poem, though: Technology is great. I don't miss loading records on a spindle. But how, oh how, Can Eric Carmen ever sign my Kindle? Seriously, it's a very good book with a lot of interesting information in it. Buy it if you can!
  3. Friday was my first Raspberries concert. It was as great as I knew it would be. Thank you to everyone involved. I don't mean to sound greedy, but is there any chance you could play a show in Atlanta? Our winters are much nicer than Cleveland's. You're getting sleepy...very sleepy...Atlanta show this winter...great idea...will book it ASAP...
  4. Thanks for the welcome, blackhawkpat. I'm looking forward to more concerts too.
  5. I've rarely posted here and have never formally introduced myself, so here goes. I listened to "Go All The Way" when I was a kid, but for some reason I really didn't grow to love Eric Carmen/Raspberries music until about 15 years ago. I had fun tracking down and listening to all the Japanese import CDs, and now I have the great Special Edition to add to my collection. Anyway, let me get on topic... I got mine Friday (246/300) and just watched the DVD a few minutes ago. I'm enjoying the CDs now. The music's wonderful, even "Needles and Pins," a song I never really liked until I heard the Raspberries' version. If you're on the fence about getting the Special Edition, please go ahead and order it. You'll love it! Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who made this CD/DVD possible. I wasn't able to attend any of the reunion concerts, so now I can at least experience some of the musical greatness.
  6. Sirius Radio has played "GATW" on their "Totally 70's" channel quite a few times. Also "Little Steven's Underground Garage" has played the Raspberries and "It's Cold Outside" by the Choir.
  7. I don't know if anyone remembers the "Yellow Pills" fanzine, but I remember buying "Sight and Sound" through an ad in it. The ad had EC's handwritten endorsement of CVS on it!
  8. May I add that Atlanta's winters are a lot milder than Cleveland's?
