  1. The (International) Noise Conspiracy 3/4 INC people live on stage!!! Yes it is true. This weekend you will have the chance to see 3 out of the 4 guys live in Umeå. There is a festival where 3 of us will play, albeit in different bands but.... Lars will be playing the last show ever with noisy hardcore band Separation where Lars does not only play guitar but also sings. Inge will be playing with his other band Knugen Faller and myself I will be playing Bass with a band Called Final Exit, which is a superfast old school mosh hardcore band that I used to play in during the 90's. David that used to play drums in Refused is singing and this is our first and only show in 10 years, should be a blast. Other bands that are playing are: the Vicious, Hjertestop, Final Exit, the Rats, The Vectors, The Bombettes, Asta Kask, Henry Fiats Open Sore and Mattias Alkberg bd. Check out www.umeaopen.se for more info on that. Speaking of the Vicious, Sara that used to play in INC is going on tour in the states with her new band. They are pretty amazing and they need your support so if you are anywhere near where they are playing you should go out and support them, they are great bunch of people and an amazing band. 6. *****Please send this to your friends***** Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 2:00 PM PROTEST HUNTINGDON LIFE SCIENCES for the 500 animals, including farm animals, who are killed by HLS every day Join Win Animal Rights as we continue the campaign to stop the killing at the notorious animal testing labs at Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS). HLS is a company whose primary business is death and suffering. 500 animals are killed there every day. They are poisoned, they are cut and burned, they have limbs broken and they have toxic gases pumped into their lungs. On top of that, they have to endure the cruelty of sadistic technicians who have been proven, in undercover investigations, to abuse and torture the animals in their care. Date/Time: Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 2:00 PM Place: 279 Central Park W. (88 St.) - New York City Home of: Andrew Baker Chief Puppy Killer of HLS After the Demos: Join us for a Great American Meatout Celebration Approximate Time: 5:00 PM, Location: TBA Important: At 3:00 PM we will leave our primary location to visit the homes of key executives of HLS customers and officials of the New York Stock Exchange. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Please dress for the weather.....don't forget hats, gloves, scarves, etc. if appropriate. Being comfortable will help you to fight harder and longer. After the protests, we will travel as a group to a New York City restaurant where we will celebrate Great American Meatout. This week we celebrate Great American Meatout sponsored internationally by FARM (Farm Animal Reform Movement) and we turn our attention to the plight of animals used in factory farming. Pigs are sensitive and intelligent creatures. Sadly, pigs and other farm animals are also used in animal testing laboratories including the death camps of Huntingdon Life Sciences. Following is an excerpt from "Diary of Despair: Inside Huntingdon Life Sciences", undercover investigator Michelle Rokke's published report on her experiences working at Huntingdon Life Sciences E. Millstone, New Jersey laboratory: "I helped bleed pigs all day. Six pigs were bled post-dose for 12 hours. Each pig was hung in a sling, suspended in the air, legs flailing wildly. An IV catheter placed in his front leg to administer the dose. Then blood samples taken from the jugular twice during the dose, once right after--while the pig was still hung in the sling, then every half hour for several samples....The pigs were so miserable in the slings it took a minimum of four technicians to hold them down--sometimes more.....The pigs scream and kick violently when they are bled, especially today since their necks were so sore and bruised from the continual bloods. When pressure is applied to stop the bleeding afterward, they scream so loudly I could hardly stand it." This is the way that animals enslaved by Huntingdon Life Sciences are treated. When making your plans, please consider that there are 70,000 animals trapped inside of Huntingdon Life Sciences right now. Some are violently ill while others pace their cold steel cages and dank concrete pens waiting to be poisoned or mutilated for toothpaste or some new chemical or food additive. You are their only hope. Please, please stop whatever you are doing and make plans to join us on Sunday at the home of HLS CEO Andrew Baker. If you cannot join us, you can contact Andrew Baker and/or HLS at: Andrew Baker 279 Central Park West, #14-D New York, NY 10024 You can also reach Mr. Baker at: Life Sciences Research Inc. 10. BRAD DELP - R.I.P: ATKINSON, N.H. -- Brad Delp, the lead singer for Boston, a huge rock sensation in the 1970s, was found dead Friday in his home, police said. He was 55. Atkinson police responded to a call for help at 1:20 p.m. and found Delp dead. Police Lt. William Baldwin said in a statement the death was "untimely" and that there was no indication of foul play. Delp apparently was alone at the time of his death, Baldwin said. The cause of his death remained under investigation by the Atkinson police and the New Hampshire Medical Examiner's office. Police said an incident report would not be available until Monday. Delp fronted the rock band, who rose to fame in the late 1970s and had several hits, including "More than A Feeling." The group sold millions of records. On March 14, 2007 Delp's family revealed that his death was a suicide and he was found in his apartment by his girlfriend. His family gave no other information Registrado: 01 Ene 1970 Mensajes: 6166 Publicado: Mie Mar 14, 2007 11:10 pm Responder citando --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  14. US Revery Sick people used like laboratory rats in GM trials Genetically modified potatoes developed by Monsanto, the multinational biotech company, have been fed to sick patients in an experiment. Rats that ate similar potatoes in the research suffered reductions in the weight of their hearts and prostate glands. ... The experiment is described in a hitherto unpublished report by the Nutrition Institute of the Russian Academy of Medical Science, done "by agreement with Monsanto Company" in 1998. ... The report says... "A certain risk of GM food products for human health does exist, as there can be by-effects of inserted genes besides the designed ones." ... Dr Irina Ermakova, of the Russian Academy of Science, calls the GM potatoes "dangerous" for rats, adding: "On this evidence, they cannot be used in the nourishment of people". Tony Coombs from Monsanto UK said in a statement: "Potatoes genetically improved [sic] to prevent Colorado beetle destroying the crop have already been consumed, as safely as conventional or organic ones, in North America for years." SO BASICALLY, US Corporation used poor, sick Russians and fed them Franken Food for only 3 weeks in an attempt to claim that we should all eat their poisonous crap! MONSANTO, LIKE VENTRIA - MAKERS OF HUMAN GENE INFECTED RICE - DESERVE TO BE BROUGHT TO THEIR KNEES AND HAVE THEIR CORPORATION SABOTAGED AND RAZED! 16. The Coalition of Immokalee Workers announces a major mobilization for farmworker justice, April 13-14, 2007, in the greater Chicago area. Make your plans to join us for historic actions that will usher in a new phase in the Campaign for Fair Food. CIW: “Today, we are tired, in the words of Martin Luther King Jr., of ‘relying on the good will and understanding of those who profit by exploiting us.’†Nearly two years have passed since Taco Bell and the CIW announced an historic initiative to address the ever-deepening poverty and decades of degradation faced by farmworkers in Florida. At that time, Taco Bell challenged its fast-food industry counterparts to join in demanding fair wages and humane treatment for the workers who pick their tomatoes. McDonald’s, the undisputed leader of the $100 billion fast-food industry, has refused to meet that challenge. Despite increasing public pressure on the fast-food giant, McDonald’s has refused to recognize the seriousness of the exploitation of tomato pickers exposed through the Taco Bell boycott, and refused to work with the CIW to address that exploitation. Instead, it has taken measures that appear aimed at undermining the hard-won advances in wages and working conditions established in the agreement with Taco Bell. Today, after nearly two years of waiting patiently for McDonald’s to join us in addressing the crisis of human rights abuses and sub-poverty wages in its tomato supply chain, we are tired of waiting. We are tired, as Martin Luther King Jr. said, of “relying on the good will and understanding of those who profit by exploiting us.†Our members and allies feel that it is now time to intensify our efforts. As such, the campaign is entering a new phase this year, and support from our allies across the country will be more important than ever. The action in Chicago this April will mark the first major engagement in this new phase of the Campaign for Fair Food. Mark your calendars today and start organizing to bring members of your community to McDonald's backyard this April to join us in a: * Major rally outside McDonald's global headquarters in Oak Brook, IL, Friday, April 13, 2007. * Carnaval and Parade for Fair Food, Real Rights, and Dignity - Saturday, April 14, 2007 in downtown Chicago. We strongly encourage our allies from across the country to join us in Chicago this April and to participate in the colorful carnaval and parade action. Groups are encouraged to organize their own floats and delegations for this action. CONTACT http://www.myspace.com/comandanteluis for more information!
