  1. Hey Eric, Was that you heckling Babs the other night? I thought I saw you there.
  2. Ira, Your list goes through the decades. 40's, 50's and 60's. I always gave the 70's to Elton John then Disco(and the Bee Gees)ruined everything. The Bee Gees, great song writers but look what they started. Zuke
  3. I always liked 98.6 AND Ain't Gonna Lie. Oh, well, that's me. Zuke
  4. Eric, So Sorry. Then all that nonsense about writing credits WAS NONSENSE. You wrote it. You da man. Case Closed. Zuke _______________________________________________ LC, I know the intro ROCKS and the middle SCREAMS, but the verse (all one sentence of it) and the chorus (that takes up most of the song) are so melodic and harmonic, for all intents and purposes make it a mellow song in comparison to the intro.
  5. Eric, Without starting an argument, why don't you ask Wally why he said that and without defending anything let it go. Then quote us the dialogue, unedited. My take? For a 50 something year old guy, this teeage sex stuff may BE "trite" in retrospect. Eric, you were there when you wrote it, if he didn't like it, do you think he would have put all of HIS creativity into the guitar for that song? He would have saved that riff for something HE wrote and not given it to you. How DID you decide on that rockin' intro when you knew how mellow the rest of the song was? Zucco A curious songwriter
  6. Ira, "p-r-l-f-q spells Mom and Dad..." What are you crying about?
  7. For all the saps. "Honey", Bobby Goldsboro OH yeah, "Christmas Shoes." I dare ya, don't cry
  8. Are ya sayin' remakes of Raspberries wouldn't sell? I think everyone should be required to re-record their stuff after 20 or 30 years. I know I'm tired of hearing the same versions all the time. Though those CDs that are released as "songs performed by one or more of the original artists" are certainly a letdown.
  9. Eric, Zucco here. It's not too late to do them all again. Didn't SPIRIT release an album in 1984 called SPIRIT 1984 where they replayed some or all of their hits? Just do it. Then you could do BONUS TRACKS of NEW STUFF!! Or visa versa, do some new stuff and re-record old stuff as BONUS TRACKS with some bottom end. SOUNDS GOOD TO ME. What does everyone think?
  10. Hey Bernie, How about the disco drum beat at the very fade of Hey Jude? Zuke
  11. Ah damn! what's the song where his voice goes..."uh.uh.uh.uh.uh..."real fast stutter? That was a cool effect that made the song and it's gone on the new version.
  12. I think it's his lips, but he LOOKS like Eric. Don't ya think? And, what do you think of my other casting choices?
  13. FORGET ABOUT IT! CHRIS KATTAN (SNL) AS ERIC CASE CLOSED JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT (THIRD ROCK FROM THE SUN) AS YOUNG WALLY (HECK HE LOOKS LIKE JESSIE TOO) JEFF FOXWORTHY AS DAVE MATT LA BLANC AS JIM
  14. Hey Matt, Back to your question about "ROUND AND ROUND." Sorry, I don't hear it. And I used to sing ROUND AND ROUND. The walking down chord structure and sort of country feel is nothing like NOBODY KNOWS. SHOCK TREATMENT was a GREAT album from EDGAR WINTER too.
  15. What about the "go all the way" at the fade? Who's idea was that?
  16. The truth comes out! Eric wrote that one about Sue Johansen!
  17. Is there going to be another airing of the show?
  18. VH1's Behind The Music of BADFINGER is definitely the saddest story of them all. I think MILLIE VANILLI's was the most interesting look at a rise and fall from grace.
  19. I just wanted to make a suggestion for a change in LarryGL's rant..... "....And furthermore, when that tag is slapped on our Raspberries like some cheap stick-on SCRATCH AND SNIFF STICKER........"
  20. I'm Curious, I wasn't there, I hear how bad the 'Berries soounded.......... HOW DID IT SOUND FOR THE OTHER BANDS??
  21. Is anybody thinking it's going to Rain?
  22. WOW! How could they NOT listen to them?
